The description of (script for) the lesson, wherein you describe teacher
activities and student activities
Prior to the lesson, put a QR code on each students text using a piece of tape.
Tell students that we will be reviewing for our Native American test today. Tell them
that this is not the end of our unit though and we still have halfway to go, but that
well be doing something completely different.

Tell students that were first going to use Kahoot to review. Ask them if they
remember using Kahoot before (for social studies). Tell them that we all know
kahoot is a really fun game to play, and that youre happy its so fun! But remind
students that this is their only review, so they need to take it seriously too.
Tell students that the QR code on their desk will take them to the kahoot site.
Dismiss the students in groups to go get their ipad from the cart (each have their
own number). While they are getting their ipads set up, put the game on the screen
that shows the code. Tell the students to type in the game code and then their
name. Remind them to use their real name, or they can be kicked out. Once all
students are signed in, remind them briefly how to play. The question will be on the
screen. They have to pick the color of the answer on their ipad. Then it will show us
what we all picked. Ask students if they are ready to play!

15

Start the game. Read the questions and answers out loud. Tell them the answers
after each question so they know what the right one is.
At the end, congratulate the winner!
If there is time, play it again.

10

To review the vocab, play matamoscas again (directions on 3).
