Brochure
Description: This is a brochure that I created to inform people of a business that I made
and what we do.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used illustrator to create my logo, photoshop to edit the
photos, and indesign to put it all together. I used a triadic and a big split complementary
color scheme.
Message: My message is to inform people of my business and that we want to help them
get into the holiday spirit.
Audience: Audience is homeowners or business owners that want to decorate their buildings
and homes for Christmas.
Top Thing Learned: Top thing that I learned is that I really actually enjoy making brochures.
Color scheme and color names: color scheme is both triadic for the brochure and with the
logo it makes it a big split complementary. My colors were purple, blue, red, and yellow.

Business card
Description: A business card that I designed for myself as a director/actor/producer
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I designed my logo on adobe illustrator then placed
it into adobe indesign to make my business card. I used the circle tool, pen tool, and
rectangle tool. I kept rearranging it and changing things till it was how I wanted it. I then
went through the critique process and got suggestions of how to make it better and I
implemented some of the changes that were suggested to me. I ended up making it double
sided and put my picture with my agents information on the back.
Message: My message is to inform people that I have Produced, acted, and directed multiple
shows and know how to do all things involved with putting together a show.
Audience: Anyone in need of assistance for putting together a production
Top Thing Learned: I learned a lot more about adobe illustrator and all the cool things that
can be done in it. I also learned how to take something from illustrator and put it into
indesign.
Color scheme and color names: gold

of my choice. Then I took colors from the photo and incorporated them into the design of
my poster. I used photoshop to create my design.
Message: If you have a talent share it and let people know what you can do.
Audience: Target audience is for anyone who has a talent.
Top Thing Learned: Photoshop is really fun to work with and some amazing things can be
done with it that I didnt know could be done.

Flier
Description: This project is a flier for a leadership conference.
Process: This is a flier I made with adobe indesign. It was my first time using adobe in
design so I used the simple basic tools. I started by making 4 four different possible
sketches for the design. I then chose the best design and took it to indesign. I tried to
mainly use proximity in this design. My hope is that your eyes will make an S shape as you
go through this flier starting with the title, Graduation Leadership Conference, then have
them go gown to the picture of the business woman and then to the text which provides
information about the event and a website to register at. Finally down to the date, time,
and place and onto the companies logo. I also wanted the gesalts element of the design to
stick out which is why I placed the stair shape at both the bottom and the top of the page
facing each other. My hope with this is that it would help pull everything together into a
single design.
Message: My message is for recently graduating or graduated students who have a desire to
become better leaders.
Audience: I tried to make this appeal to graduating/graduated students
What I learned: I learned that making an advertisement is not just throwing a picture with
information and a title onto a page and calling it good. There are actual artistic designs and
elements that go into it that help it to be more engaging.

Montage
Description: A photoshop project that demonstrates the ability to use masks and blend
photos together, as well as other simple photo adjustments like levels, light, contrast etc.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing): I chose two photos that I liked
and that I thought went well together. Then using photoshop I put them together using a
mask and the brush tool. I then chose two filters that I liked and put them on the main
background photo. When I did that I thought it made my focal picture look a little off so I
added another different filter to that layer only. I made some adjustments to the light and
added my quote by President Thomas S. Monson.
Message: stand up for what you believe even if you think you stand alone.
Audience: mainly LDS community, but really for anyone who needs help to be who they are
and defend what they believe.
Top Thing Learned: Masking is an awesome photoshop feature that can be used to
accomplish some awesome things.
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: I used two separate filter on my
background photo and one filter on my focal picture.

Logos
Description: A company logo
Process: (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used adobe illustrator. I made up a company that I
wanted to make a logo for. I decided what kind of company they would be and I made three
different possible logos. I then had 10 people vote on them and had a tie so I just chose
one to use for the logo. I then made necessary adjustments to get it to look the way I
wanted and I made three versions of that logo.
Message: The message is to tell of theatre company that is modern but likes to keep things
like an old fashion theatre so I tried to pull that across in my logo.
Audience: My intended audience is anyone who enjoys live productions.
Top Thing Learned: the top thing I learned is that adobe illustrator had a lot of things that
it can do and I need to learn them because there is some cool stuff.

the process I went through to get it to look the way it now does. It is also something that
potential future employers can see to look at my web page skills.
