0 INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this research is to modify an industrial robots into a helping robot
which can help out during the lab session. The research has been carried out for the
period of one month starting from 4 October to 16 November. This progress report
informs the status of this project by identifying tasks that have been completed and
have yet to be completed. Some difficulties faced upon completion of this project are
highlighted also.

Objective:

To compare the function of different robots.
ii.
To determine the purpose of the robots.
iii.
To compare the advantage and disadvantage of the helping robot
2.0 DISCUSSION
2.1 Tasks completed
Based on the objective of our research, we have reviewed the basic theory and some
of the examples for the industrial robots. We managed to write this chapter in less
than a week as it only involved the background, objective, scope and organization. We
done search from the internet and library for our research topic.
During the preparation of research method, we have conducted a questionnaire in
order to collect the data of acceptance for the production of the industrial helping
robot among the students in UTeM. At first, we encountered some problems in
conducting the questionnaire as we not really know what type of question should be
conducted and analysing the data collected from the questionnaire. However, with the
help and advice from our lecturer, we managed to accomplish this task.

2.2 Tasks remaining

Currently, we are waiting for the approval of questionnaire from the lecturer. Then, it
will proceed to collecting and analysing data collected. The data collection through
observation from the campus and budget cost of product still under process.

2.3 Tasks to be done

We will be continue writing and editing the project report for the results of the
research and we will soon complete the poster for the presentation.

2.4 Problems or unexpected conditions

We faced some problems during the initial period of searching the information on the
industrial robots in Malaysia and their respective functions. However, we managed to
overcome this problem and were able to move forward with our plan. The estimation
of budget cost difficult due to the application of helping robot in the Malaysias
University still not available. But we try to make it by searching information from the
internet. It is importance to consider the budget if it exist in real application. Some
task doesnt reach on time due to the problems occur during progress report and
collecting data. We solve it by following the consultation from lecturer. Thus, we prolong the research time by editing the Gantt chart.

3.0 CONSLUION
3.1 Summary
We have spent approximately two month working on the research and have completed
approximately 65% of the way toward our goal. We are still on the track based on the
Gantt chart. We are confident that we will be able to finish all the remaining task on
time.

3.2 Evaluation
We have finished the early parts which including preparing the materials for the
research report, formation of the questionnaire analysing the primary data and
research on the budget cost of the industrial robots by week 12. We will be able to
complete the project report on the week 13. This will be followed by the final editing
and the delivery on poster presentation. The editing of Gantt chart help to improve the
process of research. All team members have given their cooperation and commitment
fully in the progress of completing the research.
