Dear Horse Enthusiast:
Pleasure, performance or “pasture puppy” pet.....we all want what is best for our horses. Let’s
face it, they are a big part of our lives. In fact, for most of us, our entire lives revolve around
them! Almost everything we do is so that we can spend more time with them, showing,
performing, trailing, or just enjoying. Our barn is cleaner than our house, our vehicles have
six wheels or more, our boots cost more than an Italian three piece suit, and our clothes and
hands all have that incredible smell that - well, you know, brands us as horse people. I love
that smell, and yes it is in my blood just like yours.

If there were a natural alternative to drugs and chemicals or even if a natural approach
could more effectively “cure” an unwanted condition, you would most likely use it for yourself,
right? Well, these are available for you. They are available for your horse, too! Our goal is to
bring to you and educate you on the most highly effective natural alternatives for your horse.
Understand we are not just another “product” company. We are your source for alternative
information and products.

Call us, write us, check out our Ask-A-Vet section on our website. We are here to help because
together we can make a difference for our animal friends. And as always, I promise to be
straight forward. Those who know me, know I tell it the way it is, good or bad. That’s me.

The Mountain Horse is as natural as it is beautiful. They are naturally gaited the day they are born. They are naturally gentle, naturally
love people and naturally people desire to be around them. I personally like to refer to them as the “Natural” Mountain Horse.

Today the Mountain Horses have become one of the fastest growing breeds in the country. Kentucky, the Bluegrass State, typically only
known for Thoroughbred race horses, the Kentucky Derby and beautiful sprawling farms was the source of this spectacular treasure –
The Mountain Horse. Hidden away for centuries in these Appalachian hills of eastern Kentucky, Mountain Horse numbers had declined
so low that by 1980, they were recognized as a rare breed in need of preservation. Today, thanks to several registries, their numbers are
on the increase and can increasingly be seen on trails and at gaited horse shows throughout the country.

The horse’s gentle temperament, strength, and stamina, plus its ability to survive with minimal care, made it a perfect utility horse for the
rural mountain lifestyle of yesteryear. The horse became part of the family. Just as other family members shared in the daily work tasks
so did the Mountain Horse. They worked the fields, cleared the lands, and carried the children safely to school, yet they looked their
Sunday best while carting the family to church. While the Mountain Horses of today do not have to earn their keep like they did many
years ago, they still possess the same willingness, temperament and desire to please. Perhaps the characteristic that sets the mountain
breed apart from all others is its ability to produce a natural, free way of going and a smooth comfortable ride. This trait has become
extremely popular with the baby boomer generation, as they look for a gentle horse which the whole family can ride.

This beautiful cover horse, known simply as “At a Boy,” is typical of the natural beauty and natural wonder of this breed. Photo courtesy

Same RED CAL formula but with extra magnesium.
This High Mag formula is especially great for fat,
overweight, "cresty neck" easy keepers but also
wonderful for any horse.

Replacement for salt blocks, trace mineral blocks, and
other electrolytes.
Natural sea salt, colloidal trace minerals, calcium, and
herbs. Truly the healthiest product yet! Feed "Free Choice" or top dress! BALANCED

RED CAL is a free-choice calcium, micronutrient, herbal supplement to help keep your
horse healthy and parasite free. It is FREE CHOICE so it’s easy. Although you let them eat
all they want, it’s economical too. Typically a 25 lb bag will last from 100 – 200 days for
one horse but will vary depending upon the individual needs.

Did you know that salt & mineral quality varies greatly? Unlike most, RED-CAL™ is not
bleached, kiln dried, heated, or altered with chemicals or pollutants, it’s balanced by
nature, not by man.The minerals utilized are the finest available with detail especially to
purity and absorption. You can expect stronger bones, muscles, ligaments and better
performance regardless of discipline.

Throw away those salt and mineral blocks! In my opinion, they cause way more
harm than good! Use RED CAL instead.

We believe this our finest product yet developed and your horse will prove it. It is OK to
use along with any of our other products and for any horse, any age. Use year round for
best results.

Just hang a bucket on a fence post and make sure some RED CAL is always in it. If it
rains on it, the rain doesn't diminish its effectiveness. In fact, the rain makes it stick
to the bottom of the bucket so they can't tip it out... yet it is still soft enough to get
all they need as quick as they need it!

In my opinion RED CAL is the single most healthy product you can provide for any
animal! Even hundreds of horses with HYPP Syndrome have greatly benefited.
If your Horse is Hypp positive, especially

Great for Sheep & Goats too! - Feed Free Choice (typical consumption should be
approximately 1/2 to 2 ounces per head per day). Alternatively, top-dress 1/2 to 2 ounces
per head per day.

Additional Info: When first introduced, it is not unusual for animals to consume higher amounts. Always provide a good source of water. Rain and
weather does not diminish effectiveness. Pour excess water off and continue feeding. For best results remove other forms of salt and salt/mineral
blocks. One heaping tablespoon equals approximately 1 ounce. One scoop equals 2 oz. (scoop not provided in 25 lb size).

Have been using many of your products for about 8 years. Love them. Was treating my young horses' cuts and scraps with another product because I was too lazy to walk to the
barn to get grape wound healer. he kept moving away. I told him to quit being baby and stand still (in a nice way) and this stuff (another natural product) did not sting. I said
"see, I will put it on my cut". The darn thing stung like crazy. I got the grape wound healer and put it on me and it did not sting whatsoever. Once i got the wound healer and let
him sniff it. he stood perfectly, without a halter . There will be nothing else on any cut from here on out. Ordering several right now. Thank you for NOT compromising on the
quality of your products. If we would only listen better to our horses. They know.

A big question we often get is - ”When do I use the Grape Balm and when do I use the Marigold?”
My suggestion is that if a wound is fresh and clean (or an insect bite), use Marigold Pocket Healer. It’s great to
carry in your saddle bag or purse (ladies only of course!)

If the wound is UGLY and nasty, use the Grape Balm. If you ever seen or smelled Grape Balm, you know it sure is

from Gary Lane...
Today’s horses living in the information age will
require better mineral care than ever. “Why?”

Our modern day farming practices along with

the age of our pastern fields most certainly have
been depleted of natural minerals over the years,
mostly because of fertilize abuse.

Now let me add one more comment to the mix:

A horse kept in a stall or pasture field also needs to
drink plenty of clean water.

Red Cal is a great free supplement choice I use

not only for good mineral quality for horses, but the
added insurance of Red Cal natural balance requires the horse to drink plenty of water.
Our gaited horses were developed for work, pleasure and transportation.

Let Red Cal work for you to ensure not only fine quality of mineral supplements, but the added bonus
that your horse will drink plenty of fresh water.

I have been using Dr. Dan’s products for over 6 years and
the resultshave been amazing. As soon as I got both horses
off the processed food, the change was immediate.

My horse, Playboy, (pictured) was so bloated, he looked like

the Pillsbury Dough Boy and it was because of the junk that
was going into his system. He had also developed a cresty neck
that really worried me. I immediately started both horses on oats
and Dr. Dan’s Just Add Oats, Weight Check Oil, and Red Cal and I couldn’t
believe the results. Blaze's breathing got better with this new feeding
program plus the AllerChek (he has Heaves) and Playboy looked like a
completely different horse and calmed down within a week practically.

The other product that I swear by is Bug Check.

I literally have NO FLIES around my barn in the summer so all my
animals are happy campers and have no flies to speak of--even the dogs.

I also love the Grape Balm—stinks to high heaven but it works.

Thanks, Dr. Dan for always being there when I need you.
