1.
Consultant to the British Virgin Island Health Authority ( BVIHSA) on all matters
of Medicine and Public Health concerning non-communicable diseases as this British
Overseas Territory has an increasing incidence of Diabetes, Hypertension,
Hyperlipidemia, Obesity, Stroke and cardiovascular diseases.

Educate staff and public on early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardio

Encourage population about healthy ways of living.
4.
Advise the BVIHSA and the public on diagnosis and prevention of seasonal
outbreaks like Dengue, and make seasonal broadcasts on radio and television.

Establish guidelines for managing all major clinical problems in the territory like
Stroke, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Hypertensive crises, Diabetic keto acidosis, Alcohol
related withdrawal syndromes, hospital and community acquired pneumonias etc

Teaching programmes for nurses, emergency room physicians, interns and
medical students

Assist hospital management in acquiring Joint Council accreditation

Ensure that the very large number of visitor s to the islands get best possible
