LeftTowerStripping

Theheatingcyclelasts90minutes.Attheendofheating,theinletvalvesshiftposition,directingthehotinletairdirectlyintothe
aftercooler,separator,anddryingtower.Wenowbeginstripping.Thestrippingphaseofregenerationlasts90minutes.Atthe
beginningofstripping,theregeneratingtowerisdepressurizedthroughamuffler.Duringstripping,asmalladjustableflowofdryairis
usedtoremovethelastlittlebitofmoisturefromtheregeneratingtower.TheallowstheHCdryertoprovideexceptionallylowdew
points.

LeftTowerCooling

Attheendofstripping,theregeneratingtowerisrepressurized.Theoutletcoolingcyclevalvesopenandcoolingbegins.During
cooling,aportionofthedryoutletairisdirectedintotheregeneratingtowertoreducethetemperatureofthebedpriortotower
shift.Thereisnoairlostduringcooling.Coolingandstrippingcombinetoprovideextremelylowdewpointsandtoeliminatedew
pointfluctuationsduringtowershift.
