“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to
the fellowship, and to the breaking of bread, and to
prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
During the month of February, we wrapped up our
Core series with lessons on the core values of the
family, of worship, and of loving our city. We delved
into Ephesians chapters 5:22-6:4 as Matt painted a
clear picture of God’s design for our families. We
learned that the way we relate to one another—as
husbands and wives and as parents and children—is
meant to be a reflection of the way we love, honor,
respect, treasure, and submit to God. We examined
Romans 12:1-2 as Matt challenged us to search
ourselves and identify the idols in our lives, so that
we may sift them out and “present our bodies as a
living sacrifice.” We learned that sin is,
fundamentally, disordered worship and that, to
worship well, we must intentionally turn our eyes
upon Jesus and away from the world. We explored
Jeremiah 29:4-9 as Toby urged us to follow God’s
decree to “seek the welfare of the city where I have
sent you…and pray to the Lord on its behalf.” Toby
spurred us to love our community well, to serve
them, and to beware of the pitfalls of this world.
In March, we will begin our Exchange series where
we plan to cover the entire storyline of the Bible;
focusing specifically on Creation, the Fall, and our
Redemption.
We are ending the month of February with a visit to
our sponsor church, Kingdom Life Christian Center.
We are so excited to have an opportunity to worship
together with our brothers and sisters!

March begins a phase of major transition for
Renewal Church. As you know, we have been
praying diligently for God to provide us a location
to call home—a place where we can stretch our
wings, so to speak. God has heard our prayers
and He has proven faithful in not only providing a
building, but providing it in the exact location that
we were praying about! March 21st marks the
official launch date of Renewal Church to her
surrounding community. We will be meeting at
10am at the Hilton Garden Inn at the intersection
of Woodruff Road and I-85. We invite you to come
and share in this incredible blessing! God is so
good!
