This poster uses the standard conventions of promotional
posters. It has a credit block that names the production
companies, directors, producers and sometimes actor
names. Also the release date is shown underneath the
credit block. The tagline is also under the credit block. It
is get ready to run. This suggests about the film that
there will be some treat that the characters have to run
from to survive. Also the tagline is used to hook audience
in because they would want to know what the treat would
be. There are 9 teens presented in this poster, they are all
running towards the camera. This suggests that theyre in
danger or are running away from something. They are
presented in a group on this poster, this suggest that teens
prefer to be in groups. There are only two females on this
poster, and the rest are male. This suggests that this movie
is mainly for teenage boys and teenage girls. There are lots
of makeshift weapons being held and carried by the teens
in this poster; also their clothes look like they are the only
ones they have. This suggests that that where they are is

suggests that the characters in this poster believe in things
like demigods and that they could be themselves demigods.
This is also used to hook audience in because it makes the
audience want to know why they trust demigods or what has
made them need to trust demigods. There are 5 teens

suggests that teens prefer to group together to feel normal
and safe. There are 3 female teens and 2 male teens. This
suggests that the movie is more about female teens not
male. However it could be mixed between the genders to
show equality. The teens in this poster are wearing normal
clothes, like t-shirts and jackets. One of the teens is wearing
what seems to be body armour underneath her jacket. Two
out of the five teens are carrying weapons. This suggests
that they are going to be violence or action at some point in
the film. We can link this to teens because they are
represented in the media as resorting to violence and
carrying weapons. This is stereotypical. You could also link
this to brakes theory that some teens are delinquents and
others are respectable because they are shown carrying
weapons. So you could consider these teens as delinquents.
The genre of this films is sci-fi, fantasy and action adventure.
