EXT. CITY STREET DAY

On a busy San Fransisco street at 11:53 Jean grey steps
out of the building of the clinic and into the sun.
She gets down a few steps and her receptionist calls from
the door.
RECEPTIONIST
Youve got Mr. Essex at 1:00, Dr..
You might want to be early for
that.
JEAN
Whats the problem?
RECEPTIONIST
He says hes lost his memory.
Jean flinches at this but quickly shakes it off.
JEAN
Of course, Judy. Ill just bring
my lunch back here. You want
anything?
JUDY
Oh, no. Dieting again, you know.
Jean gives her a scolding smile and heads for the city.
INT. CLINIC - 30 MINUTES LATER
Jean comes in the front door, lunch in hand, to the sound
of Judys laughter.
At the reception desk there is a gruff but handsome
looking man in a flannel shirt. He leans over and smiles
rufully as if hes just told the joke. We knowhim as
Wolverine but Jeans face registers no familiarity as he
turns.

CONTINUED:
His smile broadens as he steps to shake her hand but
there is no sign he recognizes her either. She cant help
but smile as she shifts her bag to shake his hand.
WOLVERINE
Mr. Essex. And you must beDr. Kofax.

JEAN

WOLVERINE
Yes, of course. I feel like I
already know so much about you
from your partner.
He turns back to Judy and gives her a wink.
When he turns back Judy gives Jean a scolding look over
his shoulder.
WOLVERINE
Am i interrupting lunch? I know
im early.
JEAN
Oh, no. No problem at all. I never
eat in the middle of the day.
Lets go into my office.
She motions to her office and sits the bag on Judys desk
as she follows him in.
Inside the office he takes the appropriate seat and she
slips behind her desk and sits down.
JEAN
So, Mr. Essex, what can we help
you with today?
Wolverine smooths his jean legs with his hands.
WOLVERINE
Im actually having some anger
issues.
CUT TO:

INT. CHARLES XAVIER SCHOOL - DAY
Wolverine tosses and turns in his sleep.
We hear muffled screams and growls of rage as he rolls
around the bed fighting the nightmare.
Suddenly a very real scream cuts through his dreaming.
He snaps awake as the scream is followed by a loud crash
and then an explosio from somewhere outside.
Wolverine flicks his claws and hops out of bed.
He heads to the door amid the sound of fighting.
INT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS
Wolverine steps out into the curiously empty hallway. He
looks around and notices the whole mansion seems to be
empty.
An energy blast followed by a male scream this time. Its
coming from outside the front door.
Another crash this one shaking the ground like an
earthquake tremor.
Wolverine heads for the front door.
Ten feet away something slams against the outside of the
door hard.
Wolderine stoops and waits preparing for violence.
Scuffling and yelling from outside and Wolverine inches
closer.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED:
There is another loud thud and the door jam splinters.
He stops again and wonders if he is still dreaming.
Finally he decides to go out and just as he reaches the
door in crashes in as colossus flies through it smashing
into wolverine and hurling them both back down the
hallway.
INT. CAB BACKSEAT - DAY
Remy LeBeau otherwise known as Gambit sits comfortably in
the back of a cab.
