Micrognatia, retrognatia, hipoplasia mandibular
Deshidratacin, pobre alimentacin, falla de ganancia ponderal durante los
primeros 4 a 10 das de vida
Problemas de alimentacin, vmito, prdida de leche por los lados de la boca
o por la nariz

9. Intervencin nutricional en el nio con labio y paladar hendido
Nutricin Enteral

Cules son los protocolos a seguir en la ciruga en cuanto a
intervencin nutricional se refiere
Durante y despus de una distraccin mandibular, la intervencin nutricional
debe incluir adecuada protena, calcio, fsforo y vitamina D
Un beb puede iniciar seno materno inmediatamente despus de la ciruga
El dolor puede ser el factor estorbador mayor en la alimentacin
postquirrgica. Se debe de tomar de 2 a 3 das para la recuperacin del labio
y de 7 a 10 das para la recuperacin del paladar.
Los anestsicos y analgsicos pueden provocar constipacin por lo que los
lquidos y la fibra son necesarios

labio y paladar hendido
Pueden presentar caries
Se debe promover el uso de agua fluorada en la frmula a preparar para
consumo del nio
Por la mal oclusin, brote dental u otras anormalidades dentales, un nio
mayor puede experimentar dificultad para masticar y puede ahogarse, por lo
que se debe modificar la textura de los alimentos. El nio mayor puede
presentar boca seca crnica debido a que respira por la boca

Cuando est listo fisiolgicamente listo y desarrollado

Cules son los alimentos recomendados de 0 a 12 meses
El seno materno es altamente recomendado para evitar infecciones. Y si la madre
no puede lactar el uso de frmula lctea es lo indicado

Cules son los alimentos recomendado de 12 a 36 meses
Dependiendo del tiempo de la ciruga y la restauracin del paladar la dieta puede
ser normal en el nio. Solo alimentos suaves

Alimentos no recomendados en el nio con labio y paladar hendido
Dependiendo del tamao de la hendidura del labio o paladar y la habilidad de
alimentarse del nio, se deben limitar la textura de los alimentos. En general la

alimentacin se debe avanzar de acuerdo con la edad y referir a un terapista de la
alimentacin para aquellos que batallan con los slidos y las texturas.
