Applications in prescribed forms are i nvited from the Indian Nationals for the following post
as a part of Special Recruitment Drive to fill up vacancy for persons with Disabilities (PwDs) :
Junior Assistant (Hindi) - 01 post [reserved for PwD (Orthopaedic)]
Pay Band : PB1 `5200 20200/-, Gra de Pay : `2000/Minimum Qualification and Experie nce : A Bachelors Degree with major in Hindi with E
nglish as one of the subjects at the graduation level; or, a Bachelors Degree with major in
English with Hindi as o ne of the subjects at the graduation level.

Desirable: Good working knowledge of computer in office applications and of Hindi soft-wares.

Age: Below 27 years.

GENERAL INFORMATION
FOR APPOINTMENT BY SELECTION (NON-FACULTY)

1.

A non- refundable/ non-transferrable application fee of `150/- (as applicable for

SC/ST/PwD candidates) is to be paid through Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the
Registrar, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and payable at Guwahati. Other mode
of payment of application fee shall not be accepted. Candidates are required to write their
name and address overleaf the Demand Draft. No application fee is required for internal
candidates.

2.

Reservation : Reserved for PwD (Orthopaedic).

3.

Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/ PwD/Ex-Serviceman will be as per GOI rules. For
internal candidates, minimum requirements pertaining to age may not be insisted upon.

4.

Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations /Autonomous Bodies must submit

their applications through their employers.

5.

Institute reserves the right to hold a written test and/or skill test, if necessary to shortlist
the candidates and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.

6.

Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

7.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for
being called for a written test/skill test/interview.

8.

The Institute also reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without
assigning any reasons thereof. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this
regard.

9.

Prescribed application form is available in the Institute website www.iitg.ernet.in or

www.iitg.ac.in. Application in the prescribed form (hard copy only) will be considered.

10. Incomplete applications or application without self-attested copies of certificates or without application fee
(if applicable) or applications received after the last date are liable to rejection.
11.

Application forms are to be submitted in an A4 sized envelope super scribing the name of
the post applied for with Advertisement No. and date.

12.

Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to

Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.

13. Last date for receipt of completed application forms is 07.01.2016

14.

Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a

disqualification for the post. INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
