Course
Neuralgia of the triggering nerve comes directly out of the triggering nerve, the fifth cranial nerve.

Regardless of the cause, patients describe the pain of the triggering nerve as the worst they have ever

Anti-epileptic drugs only help temporarily and doctor often only try which one could work in the
particular case. Carbamazepine (Biston, Tegretol) is usually prescribed first, and it eliminates fits in

administered together with baclofen or other substances, they are effective. Doctors also try other

Surgery

Thermocoagulation of the ganglion is a surgery by which a part of the nerve is destroyed to cut off the
pain signals. It results in a perceptiveness disorder in the affected part of the face but without paralysis.
