Weekly market view

Markets traded in a tight range for the entire week on back of cautiousness
ahead of Expiry week and low volumes due to long weekend ahead; Sell offs
were seen on last session as per Financial Stability Report by RBI concerning
the risk associated with Banks due to stressed balance sheets of firms and
winter session also ended without the passage of GST; however it managed
to close the week on positive note. Nifty future sustained higher near the
strict resistance of 7860 as per our previous report stating Marubozu
candlestick on weekly charts. Now, it needs to hold above 7870 to lead
towards the crucial resistance of 8000 while 7740 is seen as major support
from current levels.
