THEORY

The FIRA RoboWorld Congress organizers invite professionals and researchers from
all over the world to participate in this meeting. The congress has been held
annually in UK, India, Korea, China, USA, Germany, Singapore, Australia, France and
Brazil since 1996. This congress will cover topics in intelligent control, autonomous
systems and various robots, including humanoids, social robotics, cooperative
robotics, edutainment robots, service robots, personal robots and computational
intelligence. All contributed will be in the process of peer-review. The FIRA
RoboWorld Congress will be co-located with the 3rd International Conference on
Robot Intelligence Technology and Applications (RiTA2014). The congress consists of
the three conferences below:
- 6th International Conference on Advances Humanoid Robotics Research (ICAHRR)
- 6th International Conference on Education and Entertainment Robotics (ICEER)
- 5th International Robotics Education Forum (IREF)

1. All the categories that is being competed.

HuroCup
AmireSot
MiroSot
NaroSot
AndroSot
RoboSot
SimuroSot

1.HuroCup
The following rules and regulations are general rules
of HuroCup, a robotic game and robotics benchmark
problem for humanoid robots. The HuroCup
competition emphasizes the development of flexible,
robust, and versatile robots that can perform many
different tasks in different domains. HuroCup
encourages research into the many areas of
humanoid robotics, especially walking and balancing,
complex motion planning, and human robot
interaction. In addition to the single events (e.g.,
sprint, penalty kick, obstacle run, lift and carry,
marathon, weight lifting, and basket ball), there is an
all-round competition for the single robot that
performs best over all events.

2. Amiresot

The Amiresot game shall be played by two teams, each consisting of

one robot player and up two human team members.
The robot will be fully autonomous with on board vision system.
The human team members will only be allowed to place their robot on the
field, start their robot at the beginning of each round at the position indicated
by the referee before each round, start their robot when indicated by the
referee and remove the robot from the field at conclusion of the match.

3. Mirosot

Micro Robot World Cup Soccer Tournament(MiroSot)

A match shall be played by two teams, each consisting of three robots, one of
which can be the goalkeeper. Three human team members, a "manager", a
"coach" and a "trainer" shall, only be allowed on the stage. One host computer
per team, mainly dedicated to vision processing and other location identifying,
shall be used.
The size of each robot shall be limited to 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm The height of
the antenna shall not be considered in deciding a robot's size.

4.NaroSot

A match shall be played by two teams, each consisting of five robots, one of
which can be the goalkeeper. Three human team members, a "manager", a
"coach" and a "trainer" shall, only be allowed on the stage. One host
computer per team, mainly dedicated to vision processing and other location
identifying, shall be used.
The size of each robot shall be limited to 4 cm x 4 cm x 5.5 cm. The height of
the antenna shall not be considered in deciding a robot's size.

5. AndroSot

Androsot is the newest type of Robot Soccer

realized by Humanoid Robot. In Androsot
competition of semi-Automatic 3 vs 3, there
are two teams with 3 robots to compete. The
operation mode is mixed with automatic
control method based on camera vision and
remote control based on wireless
communication.

To realize the competition, the following condition must be taken:

Each team have 3 robots with wireless control.

At least one of the three players use automatic control method based on
vision.
Only one computer to control.
There are only two or one camera outside the robot for each teams vision
control. But, the number of the camera inside the robot will not limted.
There is only one player to control the robots.

6. RoboSot

A match shall be played by two teams, each consisting of one to three robots.
One of the robots can be the goalkeeper. Three human team members, a
"manager", a "coach" and a "trainer" shall only be allowed on stage. The
robots can be fully or semi-autonomous. In the semi-autonomous case, a
host computer can be used to process the vision information from the
cameras on-board the robots.

7. SimuroSot

SimuroSot consists of a server which has the soccer game environments

(playground, robots, score board, etc.) and two client programs with the
game strategies. A 3D color graphic screen displays the match. Teams can
make their own strategies and compete with each other without hardware.
The 3D simulation platform for 5 vs. 5 and 11 vs. 11 games are available at
FIRA web site.

3.
Comment on how the team in each of the categories can improve their game
or system to win.
HuroCup Due to have seven physical challenges the team should try a new
metal which is less weight and more strength
Amiresot to improve the performance amiresot team should use wide angle
camera for a wide vision.
MiroSot the team should more concentrate on color select which is going to
place top of the robot. An unique color will be easy for the cam to analyze.
NaroSot to improve the performance the team can use easy kits to control
the NaroSot like joystick.
AndroSot for this kind of robot we should use more angle rotatable for good
flexi moves.
RoboSot - we should use wide angle that capable of view and can analyze
better.
Simurosot this competition is slightly different from others by using only
software. So the brain who control this should be strategic mind.

Conclusion:
At the end of this experiment we are able to gain knowledge about FIRA. Also
get know about the robot categories.
