Presentation : On the road of the USA

A : The United States of America, one of the biggest country all over the world. What
do you think first when you hear something about the USA? His size, his monuments,
his history, his population or maybe for the boys you think first about the music.
J: The United States it's not just that. There are many other things in this country but
we will introduce you this beautiful land by starting with the most famous
monuments in the country.
A : Then we will tell you more about the history of the USA. Finally, we will finish
with the differents cultures in the USA. And about the musics over there
J:The united states of America are located in the north of America above Mexico and
under Canada. Its one of the richest country and also one of the largest in the world.
First of all it is famous thanks to the grand canyon, the biggest in the USA. In the
grand canyon you can see a river, the Buffalo River. Nearby the grand canyon you
can also find the Yosemite mountains and Yellowstone Park. On the east side of the
country there is the Mount Rushmore.
In the capital city of Utah there is a lake named Salt Lake. It's one of the biggest lake
all over the world. In Arizona you can find Monuments Valley, the landscape was
used for the packs of cigarettes of Marlboro and also for the comics of Lucky Luke.
In San Francisco you can visit the gigantic golden gate bridge and Alcatraz that was
one of the most awful prison in America. Many films used that decor. In New-York
you can visit the Statue of liberty and ground zero, a big drama from the 11th of
September 2001. Now they have reconstructed it and they have opened a museum
next to it to remind the fallen. Back to the west side there is the dead valley and also
the city of lights of America, Las Vegas, which is placed in a desert. In Las Vegas you
can go to the stratosphere, you pay a lot of money and you can go bungijumping from
the roof. There are a lot of casino in Las Vegas too. I almost forgot but in Washington
you can also see the White House and maybe the president Barack Obama.
A: Oh yes Barack Obama, the forty fourth president of the USA. In fact, the USA
have had forty four presidents since 1789 to 2015. From George
Washington to Barack Obama passing by Abraham Lincoln, they all
had an important role in the history of the United States. I will tell
you more about the greatest of them.
-George Washington: At the beginning, he's the hero of the
independence. He's the first president of the United States, he was
president from 1789 to 1797. He gave his name to the capital of the
USA. Nowadays he is still on the billet of one dollar.
-Abraham Lincoln: He abolished the slavery in 1863. He is the best
president for the Americans, he's the greatest, that's why a big
sculpture of him was building in Washington. He was assassinated
after the secession war.
-Theodore Roosevelt: He received the Nobel Peace Price because he

was the mediator in the conflict between Russia and China.

-John F. Kennedy: He's still the only president of the USA who was
catholic. During his mandate, he enforced a new style to
Washington. He was assassinated the 22th November 1963, at the
age of 46 years.
-Bill Clinton: Bill is very popular with the population but he has been
accused to have a relation with a trainee.
-George W. Bush : The republican was the president who was in
charge during the attack of the World Trade Center.
-Barack Obama: Obama is the 44th president of the USA but he is
the first black president. He also received the Nobel Peace Price.
J: In 2015, the United States has a current population of 325 millions
of inhabitants. The 325 millions of inhabitants include a lot of
different cultures. This phenomenon is calling the American
melting pot.We can find chinese people, spanish people, black
people, The differents communities keep theirs cultural
specificities but serious rivalries are already there between them.
The national language is the english but because there are
differents cultures, a lot of people speak with their own language
like chinese, portuguese,But the most speaking language after
the english is the spanish. Because of multiculturalism, there are
many differents religions too. None of the religions has been chosen
to be the official religion. There's a well-known slogan : In God We
Trust
A: Nowadays America is one of the biggest industry of music and
one of the biggest producers. There are many famous artists who
are American as Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez and many groups as
Maroon 5, fifth harmony. The origins of country music is in the
United States of America.
