INSTALLATION DETAILS

1.1 For all software provided by AUTODESK

1. Go to the link www.autodesk.com/free-software-for-all.
2. Sign in or create account if new user.
3. If already registered and have forgotten the password then click on "forgot password ". Enter
email id. Then a link will be sent you by a mail. Go to that link and reset password. Then activate
your account by clicking on another link which will be sent to you by another email.
4. If new users then create account by giving data like name, dob, email id, etc.
5. After signing in click on Autodesk products where you will find all the software like
AutoCAD, ravit, inventor etc.
6. Click on the product that you want to install.
7. Select the version which is compatible to your system. To know the compatibility details you
can click on the link "system requirements".
8. Then click on download and agree to all terms and conditions.
9. An .exe file will be downloaded.
10. Then you can finish the installation process.

1.2 ANSYS (Original 32 bit)

CDs for both the 32 bit and 64 bit are to be issued from Pankaj Sir.
1. Copy that CD in your system.
2. After copying, extract the zip file named as m-a1332a
3. Now open the extracted m-a1332a folder and then open the folder named magnitude.
4. In magnitude an .exe file will be present. Double click on that .exe file.
5. Now a dialog box asking do you want to generate license file? will appear. Press Y and then
enter. This will generate the license file in magnitude folder.
6. Now a dialog box will appear showing the physical address details. To know whether it is
giving the correct details or not go to RUN in START menu and type CMD and then press enter.
This will show the address. Match this address with the one shown in the dialog box.
7. Now go to SETUP LM. This will automatically browse a file.

8. Then go to SETUP.
9. Installation will get completed on clicking on FINISH.

1.3 Procedure to create or read ghost file

1. Insert the ghost CD (available from Pankaj Sir) for reading the ghost to install various
software. Or insert a burnt CD if you want to create a ghost of your present c drive programs.
2. After inserting restart your c computer.
3. After restart a dialog box will appear.
4. Select LOCAL then PART then IMAGE and then TO IMAGE for creating the ghost.
Or select FROM IMAGE to read the ghost file inserted.
5. Then click on SAVE TO NTFS FILE which is the final step to create or read the ghost file.

1.4 Other related information

1. DEMON TOOLS is the decoding software which helps in or which is essential for creating the
IMAGE of the software data.
2. Only pirated copy of MATLAB is available in our labs both for 32 bit and 64 bit. If anyone
wants to install that pirated software then its CD can be issued from Pankaj Sir.
3. MS OFFICE and STADD PRO are also available only in pirated versions in our labs.
