The video follows Charlenes development from a baby to a young elementary student interviewing the main early intervention, key support and administrative workers in her daily life. Purpose of the video: The videos purpose is to inform and educate Nunavummiut and others about the importance that early intervention programs can make in young childrens development and their overall lives. It also is meant to encourage other communities to develop early intervention programs in their own communities.

The story is told how Igloolik started with the development of one early childhood program and over the years has developed other successful programs to meet the needs of their communitys preschool children and parents. Organizational structure necessary to running successful programs is explained and shown along with emphasizing the importance that Elders, language and culture have in their programs. Purpose of the video: This videos purpose is to inform and educate how one communitys very successful early intervention project started with one program and dedicated community workers and how over a few years has now developed into a best practices early intervention project that shines throughout Nunavut as an exemplary model.

The Society, besides running an interesting, cultural daycare program for preschool children, is also involved in a number of other projects that benefit both the childrens families and their community at large. The Society has sponsored programs that have developed their community members skills, enabled their family hunters to actively hunt, and have successfully raised lots of money through their creative fund-raising projects. Purpose of the video: This videos purpose is to inform and educate other communities daycare societies about successful ventures they too can sponsor in their communities. This video shows that a daycare society doesnt need to just be daycare-focused but can develop and obtain funds to create supportive programs for all aged community members. Through viewing this video people can see that a society can promote the development of a healthy strong community which indirectly benefits all young chlidren and their families.
