PEACE AND ORDER COMMITTEE

BRGY. 444 ZONE 44 DISTRICT IV SAMPALOC, MANILA

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To serve and protect the constituents by securing the community
- To promote peace and order for the whole Barangay
- To serve people for their safety as well as their properties
- To initiate coordination and monitor the implementation of peace and order
programs and projects at the barangay level
The Peace and Order committee of Brgy. 444 Zn. 44 in Sampaloc, Manila is strictly
committed to its role in its community. The barangay where it belongs justifies the
effectiveness of the organization because it has been a very quiet and peaceful
barangay. This organization is compose of the members of the community who
implements necessary actions for the wellness of the citizens. The committee is
empowered more because the members of the whole barangay participates and
cooperates very well.
The following are the current activities and projects of the organization:
- Installation of steel gates within the jurisdiction of the barangay
- Rehabilitation of public address system
- Supervision of the nightly duty of Barangay Tanod
- Conducts seminars, workshops for peace and order programs
- Stocks files of flashlight and whistles, and nightly robing of Brgy. Tanods for inspection
of every street

Just like other organizations, the Peace and Order committee of this barangay
have gone through different phases that led to its formation. The thought of
formation of this committee of course is of necessity for every barangay. The
uniqueness of this is that the security and wellness of the citizen is greatly taken
into consideration. The organization sets plan that will be implemented to
strengthen the safety of the members of the community, which is observed in the
organizational phase. After the plans were set out, the implementation of these
were made. Collaboration of the committee members and the citizens was greatly

observed according to the head of the organization. For the evaluation, the
people themselves said that the community where they belong have a strong
foundation of peace and order.
According to Mr. Ambo Bautista, the head of the Peace and Order committee, the
organization has receive good comments from the citizens. The active functioning of the
committee gave reassurance to the members of the community. The occurrence of
barangay-related crimes is very minimal. The future plan of the committee is simply to
still continue what they have started and to improve more for the wellness of the
community where they belong.
