Be your child's support system.


Find out about the bully and monitor your childs
use of computer. Set time rules for use of
computer.
Ask your child's friends to be more supportive
and report to the teacher if necessary
Keep the computer in a common place like a
living room.
Discuss the proper use of net and the
consequences of misuse
Keep a track of them by being their friend or
following them on social networking sites
Use content filtration software to protect them
from porn, gambling etc.
Report to the law enforcements if stalking,
violence threats etc. are involved

Netiquette is defined as the conduct that is socially acceptable in an
online or digital situation

messages for
grammatical
/spelling
errors

Dont post
on

politics,
religion
etc.

Never send
flames,
viruses or

horse to
anybodys
computer

If someone writes
a negative
comment about you,
dont take it
harshly.
Never be arrogant
or egoistic on the
Internet

Email Etiquettes
Keep your emails brief. Always edit and
review the content before sending
Before forwarding anybodys email or
using somebody elses work in the mail,
permission must be taken and their name
cited

Understand the actual use of all functions


on the email, such as the To: line, the
CC: line and the Reply to all function.

Avoid typing in ALL


CAPS or in enlarged
font, and use proper
unabbreviated
spellings; SMS
language is strictly
unadvisable.

Do not
send
spam
messages
to people
just for
fun.

Think before you post. Remember that your posts
are visible or can be made visible to anyone on the
Internet.
Never indulge in off-topic posting
inside a discussion thread or ever try
to hijack the discussion thread.
Always take permission before you
post or repost anybody elses
information, images etc.
Never use bad or abusive language
on the Internet, whether it be in
general or for a specific person.
