Huawei eLTE Solution for Public Safety

o help ensure public safety in our modern society, personnel in government or specialized sectors must respond to
a variety of incidents, from accidents to natural disasters. Today, narrowband trunking is widely applied in different
industries to enhance operational efficiency. Due to a lack of broadband data capabilities, public sectors must often
deploy two sets of networks: one for voice trunking and another for data services.
Huawei, as a leader in telecommunications, combines the most powerful Mobile Broadband (MBB) solution and
efficient trunking to achieve an enterprise Long Term Evolution (eLTE) solution. An eLTE solution not only instantly provides
the reliability of a traditional Private Mobile Radio (PMR) network, but also incorporates broadband service delivery,
including images, data, and video.

Accidents cannot be predicted. By using eLTE, whether in a high-speed train, remote area, or dense city, public agencies can easily
implement all types of services, including video surveillance, data acquisition, and remote control. The sensors connected with eLTE
transmit real-time data back to the command center to help public agencies acquire adequate environmental information. Benefitting
from the transmission capacity of eLTE (100 Mbit/s downlink and 50 Mbit/s uplink @ 20 MHz), public sectors can easily expand their
information network without the difficulties of deploying a fixed-line network.

Quick Response
In disasters such as earthquakes, floods, or traffic accidents, quick response is imperative to save lives. eLTE provides a series of
solutions to help responders accelerate the rescue process. eLTE rapidly provides trunking, voice, data, and Geographic Information
System (GIS) services during emergencies; in fact, two people can finish the entire system deployment in only five minutes. Also,
eLTE can be easily installed on vehicles when needed. The ruggedly designed EP680 and eA660 terminals can perform in any harsh
environment.

Unified Dispatching
With eLTE, clients can utilize voice trunking, video, data, and GIS on one eLTE network. The most attractive feature of this solution is
its unique visualized dispatching capability (voice trunking with real-time video transmission), which enables frontline personnel to
communicate with the command center and other groups through simultaneous voice and video. Moreover, eLTE is carefully designed
for inter-communication with existing emergency response systems, such as PLMN/PSTN/Tetra and Telepresence systems, helping
promote public sector emergency response efficiency and collaboration.
