LAMP INSTALLATION

This new Item allows to quickly and easily light up switches or pushbuttons with
locating lamps.
In fact, for the mechanical coupling and the electrical connection, it is enough to
t the lamp into the special socket in the back of the control device.
For other functions different from the locating one, or for 12V or 24V input,
the control devices can be lighted with the lamps Item No. 11250L, 11250LV,

Dimmer
KNOB DIMMER AM/A5702 - AM/A5706

Knob dimmers allow for resistive load adjustment. They can be supplied with
or without a built-in two-way switch.
Device AM5702 must be protected with a fuse type T2.5H 250V, thereby
making it possible to adjust the load from one point and switching on and
off from different points through two-way switches or external switches.
Instead, device AM5706 makes it possible to adjust the load and to switch it
on and off through the built-in two-way switch; it can therefore be replaced
with a normal switch or two-way switch without modifying the system. It
has been designed with a new technology which does not require the use
of the lter coil, thereby making it absolutely noiseless but, at the same
time, in compliance with the standards on the emission of electromagnetic
disturbances.

Technical features

- power supply: 230V a.c. AM/A5702=50Hz and 60Hz AM/A5706=50Hz

- type of load: resistive (incandescent lamps only)
- power: (see dimmer page on catalogue section)

Control from 2 points

PUSHBUTTON DIMMER AND PUSH-PUSH AM/A5703 - AM5704

These dimmers can control resistive loads and ferromagnetic transformers

(power between 60VA and 500VA) from one or more points.
They are designed with a new technology which ensures compliance with
the standards on the emission of electromagnetic disturbances without the
use of lter coils. This feature allows the devices to be totally noiseless. The
quick pressure of the knob, or one of the pushbuttons connected externally,
activates the load and sets it according to the level of the last adjustment
that was made; a second quick pressure deactivates it. When switching
on, the devices enable the load in order to gradually reach the set level of
brightness to avoid dazzling phenomena (soft-start); switching off also occurs
gradually (soft-stop).

Technical features

- power supply: AM/A5703=230Va.c. 50Hz, AM5704=110-127-230V a.c. 50 and 60 Hz

- type of load: resistive or ferromagnetic transformer
- power: (see dimmer page on catalogue section)

Dimmer
DIMMER FOR ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMERS AM5707

This dimmer can control electronic transformers for powering up low voltage
quartz-iodine lamps (with power between 60VA e 250VA). It is designed
with a new technology which ensures compliance with the standards on the
emission of electromagnetic disturbances without the use of lter coils. This
feature allows the device to be totally noiseless. The quick pressure of the
local pushbutton, or one of the pushbuttons that can be connected externally,
activates the load and sets it according to the level of the last adjustment
that was made; a second quick pressure deactivates it. An extended pressure
of the pushbutton makes it possible to adjust the min-max / max-min load.
When switching on, the device enables the load to gradually reach the
set level of brightness in order to avoid dazzling phenomena (soft-start);
switching off also occurs gradually (soft-stop).
An inbuilt fuse type T2.6H250V selfprotects dimmers against short circuits.
Using a dimmer powered by uninterrupted power supplies or by a generator
set may cause malfunction.
Installation notes
For proper operation of all dimmers, follow the instructions below during
installation:
- do not use two or more dimmers together in the same box
- do not install in boxes where there are thermostats item AM5711 and item
AM5712.

PASSIVE IR SWITCH AM/A5751 - AM/A5752

The passive IR switch opens up new prospects in the eld of automatic

mechanisms, allowing to automatically switch on devices as passers-by
approach (for example, light turns on without touching any switch or
pushbutton). It is possible to adjust the device sensitivity threshold according
to the room natural lighting and to adjust the end-of-operation delay after
last movement has been detected, to optimise performance.
The detection range can be widened by installing several devices at different
places, with outputs connected in parallel.
Volumetric coverage is achieved with 3 levels of rays A, B and C with plus-2,
minus-6 and minus-30 degrees orientation relative to the installation axis,
and reaches 4 meters.

SAFETY SOCKETS

The (totally separated) tulip safety sockets can be accessed only with a
special plug that closes the contact when it is completely in.
The contact is guaranteed by the pressure of special spiral springs.
Plugs with a different capacity cannot be interchanged, thus it is possible to
substantially separate several circuits.

More signicant testing conditions

SHAVER SOCKET AM5460

The transformer is connected to power line only when the plug is inserted
by means of a button (1) to avoid useless loss, heating and humming, and
is protected by a thermal effect device which automatically disconnects the
primary when load exceeds 20VA.
Reconnection is automatic after the protective device has cooled down.
The shaver socket is typically installed in hotels, pensions and similar, for
customers safety and to avoid illegal use of the bathrooms socket.

The new high-efciency luminous and long-lasting emergency lamps are
available in two versions: version with the one-function emergency lamp
or the lamp with permanent emergency and lighting. The rst ones start
operating automatically in case of a power supply failure, then they turn off
again when the power is back; the second ones use the emergency function
together with the permanent switch-on to light up rooms that need articial
lighting 24 hours a day, for example corridors or internal stairways without
windows.

Control functions
Every lamp is supplied with a LED, which indicates that there is a ow
of electricity, and a pushbutton that lets you turn it off when used for
emergencies in order to prevent the batteries from uselessly running down,
for example when you intentionally turn off the main switch to carry out
electrical maintenance on the system. When there are several lamps, it is
possible to exclude them with a remote switch.

be a two-pole break.

Salvavita automatic earth leakage thermal magnetic circuit breaker (2 mod.) device B
The device has an electronic earth-leakage release which is self-powered through
a built-in rectier. It gives additional protection against direct contact with parts
connected to the power supply. This electronic solution enables the device to detect
earth-fault leakage current with continuous components (earth leakage
type A
) and reduce accidental trips due to line disturbances. A red/green ag
shows the position of the contacts (closed or open). In a system sized according
to the IEC Standards, a correct installation requires a Salvavita upstream of an
automatic earth leakage thermal magnetic circuit breaker with In = 30mA.

These assemblies include the following:
a) protection of one pole (phase) and opening of the neutral
b) open switch socket with socket contacts totally separated from the

c) socket/switch interlock. A special mechanism prevents closing the switch
(supplying the socket) if the plug has not been previously plugged in.
It can also prevent pulling out the charged plug (with users device
electrically-powered). As a matter of fact, in this case, the extraction
attempt (with switch closed) will immediately open the switch thereof

REPEATER

Methane and GPL gas detectors comply with standard UNI CEI 70028 and
with the European standard project EN 50194.
All detectors use the latest-generation semiconductor sensors; this feature
makes every device extremely selective on the gas for which it was rated,
thus the possibilities of accidental alarms are reduced.
They are controlled by a microprocessor and are provided with an internal
self-test for signalling possible anomalies of electronic components of the
sensor and of external connections.
A series of LEDs and a audible signalling device indicate proper power
supply, a possible anomaly or an alarm situation.
As required by the Standards, all devices are sensitive to just one type of
gas and clearly show the name of the manufacturer, the type of gas for
which they were made, the recommended replacement date, the guaranteed
period of operation, etc..
All devices are made in a two-module enclosure.
Only the conguration that requires an installation combined with the
repeater and detector is covered by the IMQ - UNI CIG mark of conformity,
according to the Standard UNI CEI 70028.

SWITCHES WITH PASSIVE INFRARED PRESENCE DETECTOR

These devices have a passive infrared ray detector, which is sensitive to

the thermal radiation emitted by moving bodies, and a brightness detector.
When people or vehicles move into the eld of action, the device activates
an internal relay to command lighting or presence check systems. Depending
on the type of device, the eld of action can be extended to a maximum
length of 10 m with angular opening between 140 and 270.
The brightness detector allows activation of the relay only when the area

lighting falls below an adjustable threshold.

If the twilight activation is not required, the detector can be deactivated;
in this case the switch only activates with the tripping of the infrared ray
sensor. The length of the switching on can be adjusted by the internal timer:
after the xed time, if the person is no longer in the eld of action, the relay
deactivates.
