Believe it or not, on any given night, literally

hundreds of people in Champaign County do not
spend the night in their own home. The goal of C-U
at Home One Winter Night is to raise awareness
about those who are homeless, helping others
realize that someday that could be me. C-U at
Home is dedicated to supporting the most
vulnerable homeless, those who are more likely to
die early unless their circumstances change.
One Winter Night will be held in the heart of
downtown Champaign, centered around the corner
of Neil St. and Main St., with over 100 people
spending the night outside in a cardboard box. The
event is held from 6pm-6am.

We are planning to have a box for CEFCM that will

be manned in shifts overnight providing gospel
opportunities, worship music and being a great
encouragement to others who are serving.
Each box dweller needs to raise $1,000 dollars or
more that will help C-U at Home meet its goal of
$150,000 or 2/3s of their annual budget.
Are you interested? We need 12 people willing to
commit 1 hour of their night in the CEFCM box and
to raise or give $100 for that hour. There are
currently 6 people signed up to serve C-U at Home!

January 17th, at 6:30pm, the committees of the church will be

meeting together to plan out all of the ministry activities for 2016.
This will allow us to be better prepared to serve you and our
community. (Pizza dinner will be provided)
