You need to use a label to enter text for it to appear like below. Do not enter text within
the description (where the title of the topic is).

If you have a title for the text you are putting into your label then you must select
Heading 1 (1.) This will use our default setting for the titles throughout the whole of the
module. Then you need to use normal for the rest of the text, but do not adjust the font
or sizing as this are set to default also. Then you click ‘Save’

1. Name your forum

2. Forum Type we mostly stick to ‘Standard forum for general use’
3. Enter a description of what this forum is about.

1. You have three options, but if you choose either visible or separate then the
administrator or Moodle Support will need to group your students on the course
to enable this to work. No groups - there are no sub groups, everyone is part of
one big community. Separate groups - each group can only see their own group,
others are invisible Visible groups - each group works in their own group, but
can also see other groups.
2. Always needs to be ‘Show’
3. Finally click either to save.

Using the Editor section

This box can be found throughout lots of things on Moodle – here is a breakdown of
what some of the buttons you need to know about may make a difference to you.
We must express that all font must be in Trebuchet (1.), the font size (2) must be
shown as below 1 (8 pt), and then (3.) must be changed as follows:-
a) Heading 1 as the main title of the module
b) Heading 2 as the title of the topic
c) Blank as below for all the rest of the text
d) Heading 3 for anything other than the above i.e if any needs to be
underlined
It is very important to use the above for consistency and also to help with the
text not appearing incorrectly.
