Monday
Bible Reading: Matthew 2:1-12; Acts 2:1-21; Psalm 3; Genesis 5-8
Reflect on this poem which praises God for being the Author of our
salvation. Take time today to praise Him for His grace. The Christian
Scheme of Salvation by Philip Doddridge
Immortal God, on Thee we call,
The great Original of all;
Through Thee we are, to Thee we tend,
Our sure support, our glorious end.
We praise that wise mysterious grace,
That pitied our revolted race,
And Jesus, our victorious Head,
The Captain of salvation made.
He, Thine eternal love decreed,
Should many sons to glory lead;
And sinful worms to Him are given,
A colony of people to heavn.
Jesus for us - Oh, gracious name!
Encounters agony and shame;
Jesus, the glorious and the great,
Was by dire suffring made complete.

Wednesday
Bible Reading: Matthew 3:1-12; Acts 3; Psalm 5; Genesis 12-14

In light of the reading in Acts, so far this week particularly

Peters sermon at Pentecost where he proclaimed Christ,
consider the following quote by Mark Dever from Nine
Marks of a Healthy Church:
Christians should tell everyone the good news. And we
should all evangelize. We should do so with honesty, urgency, and joy, living a life that backs up our message-and
doing it all for the glory of God.
Is your heart focused on glorifying God through evangelizing? Like Tuesdays list has this lost some of its importance?
Confess this to God and ask Him to reinvigorate your
heart regarding evangelism.

A scene of wonders here we see,

Worthy the Son, and worthy Thee;
And while this theme employs our tongues,
All heaven unites its sweetest songs.

Tuesday
Bible Reading: Matthew 2:13:23; Acts 2:22-47; Psalm 4; Genesis 9-11

Acts 2:42-47 detail how the early church immediately saturated themselves with 1) the apostles teaching, 2) fellowship, 3) the Lords Table, and 4) prayer. The unity they had
surrounding these aspects of the Christian life was what
Christ intended for them and was also a testimony to the
unbelieving world around them. Have either of these 4
elements become routine for you and lost some of their
importance? Confess this to God and ask Him to reinvigorate your heart toward each of them.

Thursday
Bible Reading: Matthew 3:13-17; Acts 4:1-22; Psalm 6; Genesis 15-17
