Task 14: Campaign Proposal

Product: The product for this campaign proposal will be three print
adverts to promote clothes for charity. The first two pictures will be
landscape and the last picture will be a portrait.

Target Audience: The target audience is people of low income, working

class people who arent too bothered about how they appear, so more
middle aged people or people who are parents as, for the most part, they
are, more or less, concerned for how their children look and what type of
clothing they are wearing rather than what they themselves are wearing.
This charity clothing line which we will be advertising will appeal to the
more morale people and people who give a lot to charity. This charity
clothing advertising campaign may also appeal to people who want cheap
clothing and dont care whether or not the clothing is second hand.

Campaign Message: The campaign message is that people can buy

cheap/affordable clothing that is both fashionable and comfortable and
that they are contributing to a good cause by buying this clothing.

Launch Date: The launch date for my first advertisement will be the 1st of
July as during July there will be a BBQ taking place called BBQ to beat
cancer which is a social fund raising event to raise money for cancer
research, this will mean that a lot of people will be searching for cancer
research charities and things along those lines already.

Schedule of Advertisements: The campaign schedule will go as

follows: the first advertisement will be released from the 1st of July all the
way up to 7th of July, then the second advertisement will be released from
the 7th of July to the 12th of July and then, finally, the third advertisement
will be released from the 12th of July to the 17th of July.

Location of Advertisements: The advertisement campaign will be

located at large and very active areas around shops, mainly clothing
shops, this will help us get to, at least, a fraction of our target audience to
see the billboards and posters.

Legal and Ethical Issues: For legal purposes the advertisements must
not breach copyright law, which means our advertisements must not
include taking pictures taken by other photographers without permission,
we must not copy the setup of other fashion campaign photographs and
we cant steal another companys logo for our campaign.
Another legal issue would be permission, we would first require permission
from the person we are photographing to take photos of them then we
would need permission to take the photos wherever we are taking them,
unless it is a public place such as the park, in that case we will not require
permission.
Ethical issues would include things such as any form of discrimination
against minorities, for example, the advertising campaign cant, at any
point, portray an ethnic or religious minority in a negative way at all, this
will really hurt our chances with our target audiences as, in todays society
at least, discrimination is frowned upon.

Code of Practice: The code of practice for our campaign advertisement

will be to not be misleading, to get our campaigns message across, to not
show inappropriate content to the public, to not show violent content to
the public and to not show discriminate content to the public.
