SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES INDIAN BROOK FIRST NATION

Dear Band Members,

It has been brought to my attention that many Indian Brook community members are having challenges with
Sipeknekatik Snow Removal Services. I wanted to advise that we have two separate crews providing Snow
Removal Services, each with specific assignments.
Snow Removal Services for Seniors and Disabled
Snow Removal Services for Seniors and Disabled community members driveways has been assigned to our Housing
Department. It has been identified that it will take an estimated eight hours from when snowfall stops to complete
Snow Removal Services for Seniors and Disabled. This means, if the snow stops at 8:00am all driveways on this list
will be serviced by or before 4:00pm. Snow Removal Services for Seniors and Disabled will start with driveways
down the meadows (Eagle Nest Road), working their way to the other side of Indian Brook (Near the Apartments).
If you have a medical appointment or an emergency, please contact Michael Paul at 902 805 0155 to have your
driveway serviced immediately.
Main Roads, Community Buildings, and All Other Driveways
Snow Removal Services for all main roads, community buildings, and driveways that are not on the Seniors and
Disabled list as been assigned to our Operations and Maintenance department. After speaking with our Operations
and Maintenance Snow Removal team, they did advise it could take up to three days after snowfall ends to complete
all roads, community buildings, and driveways.
Providing Snow Removal Services is a new endeavour for Sipeknekatik, and we appreciate your patience and
understanding as we work through our implementation phase.
