MAIN CABLE BUNDLE
WARNING:
Please note that car ignition must be switched off during installation. Do
not touch connector contacts! If you do not observe these instructions,
electronic circuits, which are sensitive to electrostatic charge, may be
damaged.
Switch off ignition and remove key out of the switch box.
The fourth screw is located below the mounting hole cover on the left side of
the instrument panel. Lift the cover by loosening it carefully from above
using a flat-head screwdriver.
The fifth screw is located below the centre ventilation regulator between the
air exits. Grip the cover at the top between the fingers and take it out.
Unscrew the five cross-head screws. Loosen the plastic catches which hold
the instrument cover to the instrument board.
INSTALLATION INTO A CAR 5
1 - instrument board
2 - instrument cover
3 - instrument panel
Loosen the speedometer drive from the clamps in the engine space and pull
the instrument cover up from the instrument board. Loosen the two wire
stirrups at the top of the instrument panel and the two pins at the bottom of
the panel which fasten it to the instrument cover. Disconnect the connectors
and the speedometer drive from the instrument panel. Take the instrument
panel out. To make return installation easier take the whole centre
ventilation box out.
Unscrew the cross-head screw which fasten the steering tie-rod cover from
below, and take the cover off.
INSTALLATION INTO A CAR 6
Using nippers cut off blind seal terminations from the engine space side to
create passages.
The main cable bundle consists of the outdoor temperature sensor, the flow
reader, the fuel level indicator connection wire, the feeder +12 V and the
grounding wire. Spread the main bundle in order to install separate parts of
the bundle. Place the main bundle connector on the left side of instrument
cover hole.
Flow reader
The flow reader consists of the actual reader, the metal stirrup and the
preamplifier.

FLOW READER
1 - reader
2 - metal stirrup
3 - preamplifier
ATTENTION:
The flow reader and the preamplifier are oversensitive parts. They must
not be strained mechanically, especially by bending, gripping with pliers or
straining them by pulling.
Make sure that data on the label correspond to the actual engine type.
(MPI)
To prevent the possibility of the flow reader signal interference it is
necessary to observe the described routes of the flow reader cable in the
engine space.
Take off the upper engine cover in order to make access to the injection
valves. Shift out the metal stirrup from the reader and put it in a safe place.
Push the reader with the preamplifier through the seal into the engine space
and push the cable through.
1.3 MPI engine: Lead the flow reader cable from the seal into the engine
space along the original cable bundle to the injection valve of the fourth left
cylinder (from the car front view).
1.6 MPI engine: Lead the flow reader cable from the seal into the engine
space along the partition which separates the engine space and the cabin,
behind the heating exchanger directly to the injection valve of the first left
cylinder (from the car front view).

3 - red wire
4 - injection valve connector
5 - reader and stirrup slots
INSTALLATION INTO A CAR 8
Install the flow reader on the red wire from the pair of wires, which go to the
injection valve. Remove PVC wrapping of the wires up to 30 mm from the
injection valve connector. Wire the metal stirrup of the reader onto the red
wire and shift the reader into the stirrup slots so that its cable is parallel with
the remaining wires for the injection valve. Fix the reader by wrapping
insulating tape around and fasten its cable using clamping strips. Fasten the
upper engine cover back on its original place.
INSERTING THE READER INTO THE HOLDER READER INSTALLATION (FROM MODEL 98)

Earthing
Lead the earthing wire into the space below the steering wheel. The earthing
point, on which a flat tube there is, is to be found there. Take this flat tube off
and put the TC-6 earthing cable termination on the free flat pin. Connect the
original cable back on the flat termination pin.

feeder
Connect the red feeder to the free clamp no.15 in the switch box. Clamp
no.15, formed by a double pin, is located in the upper part of the switch box
backing. If none of these pins is free, proceed analogously the grounding
wire installation instructions.

TC-6 evaluates the car speed and the mileage using the speed reader which
detects slight magnetic field changes inside the speedometer. The correct
position of the reader on the speedometer back cover in the vertical position,
is very important for its proper function.
Unscrew the two screws which fasten the speedometer in its cover. Fit on
the speed reader and fasten it to the cover by replacing the screws. They
are self-tapping screws must be tightened carefully.
Fix the seal into the engine space with the enclosed caulking compound. Put
back the steering tie-rod cover and tighten it using the cross-head screw.
Put all connectors back on the instrument panel according to their colors.
Ensure that the yellow speed reader connector remains freely accessible on
the left from the instrument panel. Put the speedometer drive termination on
the speedometer so that the safety catch fits into the slot. Push both TC-6
connectors (black main bundle connector and yellow speed reader
connector) through the mounting hole on the left part at the instrument

cover. Connect the instrument panel to the instrument cover by shifting pins
in and by securing them using wire stirrups. Connect all connectors
according to their colors back to the switches on the instrument cover. Put
the instrument cover back on the instrument board and fix it using the five
cross-head screws. Put back the dummy buttons on the sides of switch lines
and the centre ventilation regulator.
Fasten the speedometer drive into its clamps in the engine space and fix
outdoor thermometer cables and flow reader cables using the enclosed
clamping strips, if necessary.
At this moment the installation of the fittings is finished and the cables with
two connectors prepared for the connection of TC-6, should stand out of the
mounting hole in the left side of the instrument cover.
Connection of TC-6
Connect both connectors according to their colours. Do not fit on the TRIP
COMPUTER yet.

The following parameters are set in the factory before shipping:
ATTENTION:
To prevent damage to the plastic moulding surface proceed carefully and
put a solid piece of plastic under the tool used.
