INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIY
1 Game of poison ball- the student who catches the ball has to state
words / phrases/ sentences related to it.
2 Teacher relates students responses to the topic
ACTIVITY 1: Identify Me
1.Students identify the objects and write words related to the pictures to
fill up a circle map. (iThink)
2.Teacher gets responses from students and highlights targeted
vocabulary.

ACTIVITY2 : Look and Share


1.Students in groups fill up a Double Bubble Map(iThink) expressing
their feelings towards the condition of the playground. Students share
and exchange their ideas pertaining to the topic (Learning Walk)
2. Students express satisfaction and dissatisfaction based on pictures
and practise the sentence patterns given in tabulated form.(Oral
practise)
ACTIVITY3 : Role Play ( shoulder partner) : 'We Care'
1.Teacher prompts students for role play activity on expressing feelings
of satisfaction and dissatisfaction about the playground.

1.Teacher distributes pictures related to the topic. Students write

Whole Class ACTIVITY-OCTAGON & STAND UP SIT DOWN


1 Teacher asks 8 questions based on Gardners Multiple related to
the key study topic
2 Students respond to the 8 questions by sitting if they agree and
standing up if they disagree
ACTIVITY 1: Process (all have same content, but a different
process for leaning new words,phrases)
1.Students work in mix ability groups. 4 students per group
2.Teacher explains students are going to learn important vocab. /phrases
to help them understand the short story
ACTIVITY2 : Reading Aloud
3.Teacher conducts reading aloud with students and explains on text

5. Students work individually on their mini board writing the past and
present situation of Tanjong Rhu
6. Students walk from one group to another to add missing details
7. Individuals are called to read aloud and the others fill in the missing
details

8. Add words and phrases learnt in HOTSPOT book and also to add in the
exit chart

Pass The Parcel & Find me a Partner


1.Students parcel the parcel . The student with the parcel responds to
the card after they
unwrap by completing the other half of the statement
2. The parcel continues being passed until students guess the relevance
of the game
