CAROL LAM APPOINTED CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR


FOR DDB GROUP HONG KONG

DDB Group Hong Kong has landed highly acclaimed creative leader Carol Lam to be
its Chief Creative Officer and Managing Director, effective the end of February.
Already named Marketings 2015 Agency of the Year and having dominated the Effies
for last four years, this senior appointment further marks DDB Group Hong Kongs
ambition to keep creativity at the forefront of its market leadership. Reporting to DDB
Asia CEO David Tang, Carol will be supported by the Hong Kong offices existing
management team, and will be tasked to further elevate the agencys delivery of
creative excellence, while driving its growth agenda.
Carol comes to DDB from Saatchi & Saatchi South China, where she was CCO and
Managing Partner and based in Hong Kong. Previously she spent five years in China
with McCann Shanghai as CCO and Managing Director, and with TBWA Shanghai as
ECD. Before her China stint, she was ECD of McCann Hong Kong in charge of global
communications for Cathay Pacific.
A Hong Kong native, Carol not only has helped Hong Kong brands succeed locally,
regionally and globally, but also brings with her a strong track record in elevating global
MNC companies in Hong Kong and China, among them McDonalds, P&G, adidas and
LOreal.

Carol is a multi-award winner with extensive experience judging at prestigious award


shows globally and locally, including the One Show, D&AD, CLIO, ANDY, New York
Festivals, Spikes Asia, AdFest Lotus, Long Xi and China 4As.
DDB Hong Kong is Marketings current Agency of the Year, has led the awards tally for
the Hong Kong Effies for 2012 to 2015, and was joint first in number of medals at the
Kam Fan Awards in 2015.
