Sir,
Quotations (in single bid) are hereby invited from the reputed manufactures/suppliers for the Rate Contract
of Furniture Items as per list attached and must be sent in wax sealed envelope:Quotation must be marked Quotation for the Rate Contract of Furniture Items addressed & submitted to the
Asstt. Registrar (Central Store), Room No.11 (Ground Floor), University College of Medical Sciences, Dilshad

Garden, Delhi-110095 so as to reach on or before 15 June, 2015 upto 10:30 a.m. failing which the bids will be
treated as late and rejected.
1. The firm must quote the rates only in the performa attached herewith and the specifications should be matched
with our requirement.
2. The bid submitted by telex/telegram/Fax/E-mail etc. shall not be considered.
3. The offer must be valid for a period of 120 days from the opening date of the bid. Any offer falling short of the
validity period is liable for rejection.
4. The rates approved shall be valid for one year initially, which can be extended by the College on the mutual
agreement, if required.
5. The firms must quote the rates on FOR basis only in INR for all the items. The rate should be quoted clearly
without any overwriting/cutting.
6. The firm must submit Printed Catalogue with clear-cut model no. of quoted items alongwith bid.
7. Bid must contain Earnest Money Deposit (EMD). Bidders shall submit EMD along with their bid, by Demand
Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of The Principal University College of Medical Sciences for a sum of
Rs.40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Only) payable at Delhi. Bid without EMD shall be summarily rejected. The
EMD shall be retained as Security Money (irrespective of any number of approved items) in the case of
successful bidders till the completion of warranty obligation/Rate Contract period. EMD shall not be waived off
under any circumstances. The EMD/Security Money of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned without any
interest.
8. After obtaining the bids & before finalizing the contract, an Expert Committee shall visit the showrooms /
factories of participating bidders to access the quality and to verify the technical specification of all quoted items
for providing the final recommendation to approve the rates / items.
9. Mere quoting the lowest rates will not vest the right for the vendor for placing the supply order for such items,
and the recommendation of the Expert Committee will be final.
10. Onsite warranty for all items on workmanship as well as on manufacturing defect must be provided by the
supplier for atleast 6 months from the date of satisfactory supply of Items.
11. No request for increase in rates will be entertained during the period of contract.

12. Quotation must be submitted only for the articles which can be supplied within a period of one month from the
date of issuance of purchase order.
13. Quotation letter is non-transferable and vendor should invariable be submitted on companys letter head duly
signed by the competent signatory.
14. The supply will be made at our desired location in University College of Medical Sciences, Dilshad Garden,
Delhi-110095.
15. The College reserves all rights to accept/reject/cancel the proposal at any stage without assigning any reason.
16. The further necessary terms & conditions shall be mentioned in the Purchase Order, whenever issued.
17. The bids will be opened on 15.06.2015 at 03:00 p.m. in the College in presence of the representatives (if any)
of the firm(s). In case, any unscheduled holidays occurs on prescribed closing/opening date, next working day
shall be prescribed date of closing/opening. If any further amendment/ changes made by the College, the same
will be uploaded on the College website only.
Special terms & Condition:1. The Bidder must be a registered firm.
2. The bidder must have the experience in the trade atleast for 5 years.
3. The Bidder must be an ISO 9001:2008 certified.
4. The Bidder should have minimum turnover of Rs.1 Crore per annum.
5. The bidder must enclose minimum single order worth Rs.20 Lacs during last year, which should have
issued by any Govt. department.
