Rapid Instructional Design Template

This template has been designed to help you to quickly and easily create learning episodes for your students. When you get to the
section on the teaching plan, start by specifying the learning outcome(s) for the module/topic and then complete each column for each
of the learning outcomes.

Teaching Context: What place does this development have in the wider teaching context? For example, are you developing a course,
activities that will form part of a course or just one activity for a particular lesson?

Learning Environment: Specify whether the learning environment is face-to-face, virtual or blended and make a note of
technologies that are available to you.

Learner Characteristics: e.g. their needs, motives for learning, prior experience of learning, social and interpersonal skills, learning
