IELTS Application: Summary

ONLINE APPLICATION RECEIVED
Thank you for submitting your application. You will now receive an acknowledgement email that
contains the summary and terms and conditions of your application.
Please note: to complete your application, you MUST pay for your test place, and send all
supporting documents to your test centre by the stated deadline. If you do not do this by the
stated deadline, your application will be cancelled.

Please follow the instructions below:

In case you have paid online via Debit/Credit card, no further action is required
from your end.
If you will be paying through any other mode then kindly send the evidence of the
payment made via courier (either the demand draft or the British Council Copy of
the ICICI payment slip) within 3 days from today to the British Council test centre
(address stated above) along with a copy of this acknowledgement email. This will
enable us to confirm your booking.
If paying at ICICI bank, you can also simply forward this email along with a scanned
attachment of the British Council copy of your ICICI payment slip to
IELTSpayments@britishcouncil.org
Please note: In case we do not receive the payment within 3 days, your application
will be cancelled.
Please note - We DO NOT accept cash or credit / debit card payments or any
other documents in person at our office front desk counter. Please send the
required documents through courier.
Once we receive your payment we will send you a confirmation email along with
information on how to access the Candidate Area. The candidate area enables you
to access the following test related information online:
1) Your contact information;
2) Payment information;
3) A preparation section which includes free access to 30 hours of Road to IELTS:
e-learning and online practice assessment;
4) The test date and venue for the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
modules (available 5 days before the test);
5) British Council contact information;
6) Result, 13 days after the Test day post 12 noon
Also, you will receive your free IELTS preparation book within 14 days at the address
provided by you in the application form.
The hardcopy of your actual TRF (Result) will be despatched soon after the result
declaration, the delivery of which may take upto 14 days.

What you need on the test day:
Kindly carry the following documents to the test venue on the day of the test.
Original valid passport
A clear photocopy of the first and last page of your valid passport.
Pencils, pens, erasers & sharpeners (without wrappers) but not in any pencil case
or container.

We request you to not bring any unnecessary baggage, mobile phones, wrist
watches, any other electronic gadgets to the test venue as these will not be allowed
into the examination hall. You may however bring water in a clear bottle.
Please note that the British Council will not be responsible for loss or damage of
any personal belongings.
Only candidates will be allowed inside the examination premises.

How To Pay
Please pay for your IELTS test using one of the methods below. Please note: You
must pay for your IELTS test within 3 working days from today.
ICICI
- Pay at any ICICI branch by cash by filling in an ICICI challan please
download the challan from the link :
