CONTROLLING :

Control is making something happen the way it was plan to happen . It is also mean the process
of monitoring activities to ensure that they are being accomplished as planned or to ensure the
desired results and correcting any significant deviations.
Analysis of four of the companys controlling method in the project:
a

Pre-action control or feedforward control

Control that focuses on preventing anticipated or expected problem before they
actually happen. For example all department have been equip with latest fire
controlling system such as fire extinguisher and water sprinkler

b Concurrent or Steering control :

Control that takes place while working activity is being done.
JKR set up meeting and conference to lay down and discuss about managing
resources , financial and human resource . Several issued been address in the meeting
meeting which involve discussing pre-construction issue such as the material to be
used , the equipment to be used , the recruitment of labourers with the right skills for
the job, the cost of the project .

Screening control :
Specific check point or condition to be pass before further activity may proceed.
The leader (usually a top level engineer) of project will monitor and used side diary
for recording all progress of the project

d Post-action control or feedback control :

An after-done control that usually involving the checking and correctioning of the
project. For example in JKR project , The leader of the project will inspect the quality
and examine if any mistake or error in the project exist.
