QUESTION
Discuss some recent events and societal changes that might have contributed to
shift from hero to humble Do you agree or disagree that humility is important for
good leadership?

According to Bennis. W. (1989) define leadership revolves around vision, ideas, direction, and
has more to do with inspiring people as to direction and goals than with day-to day
implementation. A leader must be able to leverage more than his own capabilities. He must be
capable of inspiring other people to do things without actually sitting on top of them with a
checklist.
A humble leader is secure enough to recognize his or her weaknesses and to seek the input
and talents of others. By being receptive to outside ideas and assistance, creative leaders open up
new avenues for the organization and for their employees.
Society shift from the hero to humble because they need some
Life condition, society shifts because the condition of life is not fair because the leader does
not consider other member of the society. But humble leader consider other member in the
society.
Need participation, society move from hero to humble because need to participate in
decision because hero leader do not allow people to participate, but humble leader allow the
people to participate in decision making.
We agree that humility is important for good leadership because leaders who consider
humility treat people in good way.
Humility means being honest. When a leader can demonstrate honesty and look back on one's
actions and behavior, it will provide a tremendous opportunity for personal development. So the
following are the reasons which explain humility is importance in good leadership;
Open to others opinions, the leaders who are humility in nature be open to hear other
opinions, because people want to work with people who value their opinions rather than ignore
or dismiss them. So humble leaders are the leader who consider other peoples opinions.
Admit mistakes, also humility is important in leadership because the leader admit their
mistakes and this give the other member of the society to think they have one level with their
leader because the leader believe is human beings are not perfect.

Empower others to shine, also the leader who control in humility way is able to empower
other people in the society to shine or to achieve the certain goals. So humility is important in
leadership because people leave in good life and every one like to be the member of the society.
Consider others needs, also humble leader are able to do for other people performance is
typically much higher when team members believe their leaders are truly looking out for their
best interests. That does not mean hand-holding, but it does mean caring about the environment
in which your team is working and ensuring that they have what they need to do a good job.
Accept ambiguity, many leaders want to control everything. But some things can not be
known but the leader who are humility in nature accept can not do that thing and tell other people
to came and do that thing with happy because they considered in different aspect in the society.
So you have to know when to take charge or when to let go and not try to force everything to go
your way. Sometimes, it is important to admit that you do not know the best answer, and wait
until you have the best information to make a decision or change.
They allow people to do their jobs, this means that humble leader choose good people, train
them, then get out of the way and let them do their jobs. It can take humility to admit that your
way is not the only way or even that some people are better at certain roles than you. The humble
leader accepts these truths and allows others strengths to work for the good of the team or
organization without interference.
Generally, the society shift from hero to humble because they need other leadership which
gave the chance to expose her or his feeling. Humble leader are the one who consider other
people in society and give chance to participate in different aspect. Also globalization contribute
more in changing leadership from hero to humble due to the fact that now days everything is
open that means all world seen as a single village so that all people know the all system of
leading.
