modelspredictedreliabilityscores.ThedatacomesfromthelatestConsumerReports2015AnnualAutoSurvey.

Igotinspirationfromthissampleandbuiltanewhorizontalbarcharttoshowthevaluerangeofitems,whichinclude
multiplesubitems,andthepercentagemoreorlessthanthemselvesmeanpointandtotalaverageofallitems.The
usecaseforthisextensionisthestudents'transcriptfortheircourses.

Usecaseanddata

Theusecasepresentsthescoresrangeof31differentstudents,andthistableshowshowthescoresrankbased

ontheaverageoftheirscoresfrom4differentsemesters.Ameasureofthestudent'sgradescanbeseenin
thespanwithayellowmeanpoint,crossreferencedbyhowmanydifferentcoursestheyattendtotally.The
bluebarsillustrateastudent'sgradesbyshowingthereliabilityrangebetweenitstopandbottomscore.The
numeralsindicatethenumberofcoursesincluded.

Thisextensioncreatesahorizontalbarcharttoshowaseriesofparentdatapointeachofthemincluding
severalchildrendatapointsontheYaxis.Eachrowusesabartorepresenttheirchildrensrangebetweentop
tobottom,andthereisameanpointappearasayellowpointontopofperbar.Thedottedlineonxaxis
showstheaverageforallofthedatapoints.Themeasuresinputfieldofthisextensioncouldincludean
unlimitednumberofmeasure,andxaxisonlyshowsbasedonthetotalofeachdata.

Thetooltipwillshowwhenyourmousehoversontopofthebluebar.Itshowsthreerowsofinformation:the
courseandschoolfromthesecondandthirdinputofdimensions,andthethirdrowincludingmin,meanand
maxscoresofstudent.

Nowthedatasethastoinvolveatleastthreecriticalcolumns,whichincludesthenameofthestudent,
coursesandscores.

NestDataSet

Inthisextension,youneedtodoquitelotsofcalculatingtopreparefordatatovisualizechart.Thefirststepistonestit
bystudent'sname.

Thesecondstepistocalculatethemeanvalueforeachstudentandallstudents.
