Composition of a citizens’ advisory group (CAG)
that will help steer a 30-year sustainability vision
for the Town of Hinton was decided at the Sept. 15
council meeting.
Eleven members of the public were chosen from
27 applicants and will join Town councillors Mike
Jodoin and Jane Macridis on the CAG, with Coun.
Buzz Johnson named as an alternate. Council also
decided to indude a Yellowhead County position.
“This assures representation of a key partner,”
said Wendy Lesser, niunicipal sustainabffity co
ordinator for the Town.
Eleven public members were chosen by
councillors based on a ballot system, induding
Jason Griffiths, Jerome Cranston, Jennifer Norquay,
Dale Rhyason, Gary Neilsen, Tyler Waugh, Tanya
Richardson, Dan Rollert, Scott Sunderwald, Brad
Young and Ellen Aust.
Administration will now contact successful
applicants to ensure they will allow their name to
stand for the committee. Mayor Glenn Taylor asked
administration to also contact those not chosen for
CAG and inform them of other subcommittee needs. \_

A CAG meeting schedule, as well as one for
public input forums, is in the works. annual FRRA Toy Run. More than 100 bikes participated in the charity drive.
