Chronological Bible Reading: Leviticus 22-24; Matthew 27:1-22
Monday, February 15

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS PRAYER LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Leviticus 25-27; Matthew 27:23-44
Tuesday, February 16

Song of Solomon 5:4 My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my
bowels were moved for him.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how
much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Beloved Lord and Friend:

You knocked, but it was not enough. My heart is full of cold and sleepiness.
I am often too ungrateful to rise and open the door. Yet the touch of your grace
will make my soul stir itself!
Oh, touch with grace __________ and __________, so they become
conscious of their lost condition, and aware of how your Spiritseeking and
wooingis drawing them to Jesus. You were shut-out, and I was asleep on a bed
of apathy, yet you were so longsuffering with me.
Oh, the greatness of your patience, as you knock and knock again. The
greatness of your persistence, as you add your voice to your knock. How can I
refuse you?
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
My vile heart should blush and be rebuked. You show the greatest kindness
of all when you become your own butler, and unbar the door to souls yourself.
Nothing but your own power can save sinners, but please Sir! use my witness as
your tool. You can open hearts where no argument will work.
Well may my emotions move for you when I contemplate all you suffered
for me. Allow my affections to wander no longer. I have set up rivals and grieved
you long enough. Cruel sin!
What can I do? Tears are a poor show of repentance. Lord, you forgive
freely, but please prevent my unfaithfulness in the future. Purge my heart and
bind it with cords to you evermore. I ask this in Jesus own name. Amen.

Wonderful Savior:
I believe right prayer will give right answers and bring right power. So
I am bold to ask for spiritual comfort, for maturing gifts, for enabling gracefor
revival! I thank you because you will not mock my request by giving me
something that only addresses the superficial. Revival, since it is a work of the
Spirit of grace, always deals with root issues.
Give me the faith in 2016 to ask for the best blessings, richest graces,
highest work, and closest fellowship with Christ. Because whatever is happening
to me right now, I know you have not given me a stone, serpent, or scorpion (vv
11-12). You are not treating me ungenerously. And were I as able to judge reality
and goodness as you, I would recognize you are giving me the best possible
things to enable the Holy Spirits operation in my life.
So trials may surround me (they do!), but your love is right there. All my
faith has to do is open one eye to see I am not dealing even with apparent evil,
but evident good. Blind unbelief is what misrepresents your work, your ways, and
your heart. Give me a clearer eye of faith to see the truth!
Let me seek and see truth regarding my own frailty and faults. I seek
repentance from the Holy Ghost through Jesus Christ. I come to you Father, to
say,
Psa. 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
If my heart is not broken and contrite, break it and heal it. Give me a
tender spirit. My longing is toward you. Deal with me in a way that brings revival,
for so I ask it in Jesus precious name. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Numbers 4-6; Matthew 28
Thursday, February 18

1 Cor. 7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon
you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

HAST Thou, O Lord, a work to do? Here am I, send me!

The field is white, the labrers few, here am I, send me!
O touch my lips with fire divine, here am I, send me!
The dross consume, the gold refine, here am I, send me!
A lowly vessel at Thy feet, here am I, send me!
O cleanse and for Thy use make meet, here am I, send me!
My heart now longs and yearns to go, here am I, send me!
To reap Thy harvest here below, here am I, send me!
Over mountain, plain or sea,
Here am I, send me!
Ill go to the ends of the earth for Thee,
Here am I, send me!

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Numbers 7-9; Mark 1:1-21
Friday, February 19

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Numbers 1-3; Matthew 27:45-66
Wednesday, February 17

1 Pet. 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving
honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life;
that your prayers be not hindered.
Heavenly Father:
Prayer is such an important thing; it is the channel by which rivers of
revival come to me, the window through which you supply so much grace. Prayer
is my ship that trades with heaven, and comes back home stacked with treasures.
It is so invaluable, the danger of my hindering it is used by Peter as a motive for
why husbands and wives have to behave according to their biblical roles.
Anything that hinders prayer is sin. If anything regarding my family is
injuring my power in prayer, then there is urgent reason for change! Any behavior
or attitude or habit that leaves us un-joined as heirs of grace is evil.
Prayer affects my spiritual power. To confine it is spiritual injury, and a
dangerous tendency. When I am on my knees I am really and truly before you,
my God. Men see me only on the surface, but your eyes pry into the recesses of
my soul. If you see I am prayerlessnot just on my knees now, but in my soul
during the daythen you make little of my trials and nothing of my efforts.
Make me a person of earnest prayer! Give me the spirit of prayer, so it is
habitual for my heart to talk with Jesus all day. Then things will be right with me.
But if that is not my case right now and my prayers are hindered, show me what
needs to be ejected out of my spiritual system to make it right. Show me what is
lacking that I need to supply.
Prov. 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
And living prayers are what deal with those issues and bring revival. You
see the hindrances; I repent of the sin. Hear me today for Jesus sake. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Numbers 10-12; Mark 1:22-43
Saturday, February 20

Rom. 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of
sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Psa. 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the
LORD.

High and Holy God:

The greatest mistake in life is when we do not understand the times we live
in, and how to act in those times. Tony Evans says, if you plan on doing
anything for God, you better do it now. That sense of urgency only comes from
knowing the time. We have to understand the times as to our own generation,
Prov. 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to
understanding;
The night is far spent, and many of our friends continue in the dense
darkness of postmodern ignorance about the gospel, and Jesus finished work.
Eph. 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as
children of light:
Help us by your Spirit to hold up the light as we live your Eternal Purpose!
1 Pet. 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light:
We were once in despaira night without a moon. We were without hope,
and feared our future was the blackness of darkness forever. That hopeless gloom is
over for us. Praise the Lord! We have light and joy in Jesus Christ. The Day-star
is shining on our path. Help us, Holy Spirit, to lead others into the Way, for the
dispensation of grace is here. The day of salvation has dawned for someone who
is lost today! Bring them under the influence of the gospel, of holiness and hope.
Arouse them out of the sleep of apathy. Help us shake them awake with a
knowledge of the shortness of time. Help us in this for Jesus sake. Amen.

Oh Lord and Giver of Life:

I hate suspense. Being in limbo is like Purgatory to me. I cannot believe no
news is good news. What is the cure for this condition? Faith! Lord, by your
Spirit you can settle my mind in serenity and remove all anxiety. All fear is gone
for the future as well as for the present when I come to a position of faith.
But this fixedness of heart is something I have to actively seek. It seldom
just comes naturally. Give me that condition of unstaggering trust in you today.
Give me the confidence you will not do me ill yourself, and will not allow anyone
else (human or demon) to hurt me. You are never unloving or unkind, and so
nothing that could happen to me ever really would be. That is the confidence that
overcomes the unknown as well as the known perils of life. Let today come
what may; God is the God of today!
There are many things out of my control. There are events I dont even
know happen. But you are the wheel in the middle of all other wheels. Yours is
the controlling centrifugal and centripetal force. You are the God of all my
unknowns, so I am determined to trust you.
If the worst should happen to me, you are still the greatest and the best.
You still deserve my first thought and my best effort. You still deserve both my
deepest adoration and my highest praise. Therefore I will not fear, though a
tragedy should awake me in the night.
Psa. 18:46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my
salvation be exalted.
Lord, if you are alive then what can your children fear? Amen!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
