PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Dear CanSIA Members and Solar Energy Stakeholders,
CanSIA is pleased to provide you with the 2014/2015 Canadian Solar Industries Directory, your
go-to-guide for Canadian Solar Industries Association member organizations and the services
they offer.
In the two-plus years that I have served as the President and CEO of CanSIA, I have seen
the solar industry in Canada take great strides. Canadas solar industry has not only gained
recognition in the energy sector nationally, but its innovation and expertise has also earned it
global respect.
Over the last two years, CanSIA has been adapting to meet the changing needs of our more
sophisticated and much-consolidated industry and membership. Through more established
relationships across the energy sector and increased expertise, the CanSIA team is even better
equipped to meet member expectations to continually increase the level of impact of our
advocacy, to develop markets and opportunities, and to showcase our industry professionally
through quality representation and communications.
In this regard, CanSIA is pleased to welcome Lisa Hatina, Business Development and Member
Relations Officer to the team she is working, and will continue to work, hard to ensure
member needs are identified and fulfilled.
The progress and success of our organization is due in large part to the dedication and
commitment of our members who work with CanSIA, particularly through CanSIAs Caucus
and Working Group structure. These Caucuses and Working Groups are a proven and effective
platform for facilitating collaboration, developing recommendations and refining messaging.
Whether listening and learning, advising or leading, participation in CanSIAs Policy and
Advocacy activities ensures that opportunities and barriers are tackled head-on. I would like to
extend a special thank you to the volunteer Member Chairs of each working group and caucus
whose leadership is invaluable.
As we look ahead, CanSIA is committed to enhancing collaboration and engagement among
Members, as well as providing and expanding its Member services through our three core
service areas:
Policy Development and Advocacy;
Industry Capacity Development; and,
Profile Building and Networking.
We will continue to work with you with enthusiasm and confidence, as the solar industry looks
to secure its position as a mainstream and dominant energy source.
