Abstract

In the research weve conducted we think that there are a lot of students prefer agriculture than
I.T course .That there are some students prefer to enroll in agriculture because they are afraid of
computers. some of students take I.T. because they didnt have choice. Some students prefer
their courses because of peer pressure and sweet saying.
The procedures we did are: thinking our topic, gaving a little hint of it stating the possible
problems, gaving a little citation about its importance, knowing its purpose, gaving our
hypothesis, and last but not the least is we conducted an interview to the Grade 9 students about
their choice when it comes in T.L.E specialization and knowing their reasons. Doing these
things we found out that IT course is in the lead more of these population are girls about 60%

while boys are about 31%,28% of these are lesbians and the remaining 1% is Gay. Major of their
reasons for taking their course is because of their desire or lust, but still theres also some that
dont have choice and because of peer pressure why did they took up their course.

Introduction

T.L.E. subject is important to high school student, it help them hone their skills in preparation for
job they will choose in future.
Content may include the percent of students taking I.T. and Agriculture and their reasons for
taking the course .
This research study will help us aware of the importance of the K+12 problems that the school
and students might encounter of the K+12 especially in T.L.E. to find solutions and help both
students and teachers in preparing for Senior and Junior high school in the year 2016.

Statement of the Problem


T.L.E.(Technology & Livelihood Education) is one of the subject to be taken in High
School/secondary level. It is the stepping stone for the students to decide what course theyre
going to take in college. It is primary step to develop their skills according to their ability &
interest. How many percent of students taking I.T. specialization? Agriculture? Whats the reason
behind why they take their current pre course/and the percent of student taking T.L.E. subjects
according to their gender ?are some questions that may arise in this study.
According to the research weve conducted at LSNHS almost 40% of students taking
Agriculture , 52% are taking I.T and 8% taking Bread and Pastry.
Agriculture have more enrollees than I.T, there are a lot of reasons for the students why they
take I.T, Agriculture and Bread & Pastry. According to Ms.Karla Mae Valenciano, an I.T. course
student ,her reason for taking I.T. course was, I.T courses can easily find a job almost
everywhere ,its her choice to choose I.T. because for her ,its more fun & amazing to operate
computer & lastly its her family decision for its the only course they afford to support the
needs.
For Josephine Panuelos , I.T. courses is her choice for her she really like to be a computer expert
someday, its her ambition to find job regarding in computer works,& for her job can also easily
to find. For Agriculture student named Maruja Blasco, agriculture is her choice because for her
agriculture is easy to learn & understand than computers she thinks that she cant pass computer
subjects specially when it comes to software application . Another agriculture student Kristel
Cope ,she preferred Agriculture because one of their teachers told them that are computer
courses are not for the future jobs, and her classmates also preferred agriculture . For the 2
agriculture students they found out that their course is enjoyable specially the horticulture some
students who choose Bread & Pastry because they want lean how to bake.

Significance of the Problem

To Know the population of student taking I.T. course ,Agriculture course & Bread &
Pastry.

To know the reasons of some students why they take I.T. Agriculture. And Bread &
Pastry.

To know if the school is well equipped, like if they have already internet access,
computers modem gadgets, etc. for I.T. course. For Agricultures does the school have
enough space for planting, breed animals of fish? and equipment for baking.

Purpose

To make predictions for future population of different courses.

To know some students citation in their preferred course.

To determine what desired course of some students.

To know if the school is ready for the K+12.

Statement of the Hypothesis


According to the research weve conducted there are a lot of students prefer IT than Agriculture
and Bread & Pastry course, wrong . Some students prefer to enroll in Agriculture some students
take I.T because they dont have choice. In the next generation population of IT students will
always in the lead as early before . Agriculture students population will compete in bread &
Pastry courses
Some students prefer their course because of peer pressure & sweet saying.

Assumption
In the topic of our research report we assumed that computer courses is having less percent than
to Agriculture when it comes to I.T specialization. Taking their course is their really choice or
their specialty. Choosing their courses will help them to developer to widen their skills but also
for others its just ruining their life.
Limitation
In the research weve conducted one of their limitation, giving the previous record of students
taking IT , Agriculture & Bread & Pastry and also the number of students taking TLE
Specialization in the past year because of their private reason, If they permit us to get the data we
can use it to compare the population before up to present.

Definition of Terms
Hone- To sharpened, to deepened, to widen

Courses-a direction or route taken or to be taken .
Limitation-a limiting condition
Agriculture-the science art or occupation concerned with cultivating land, raising livestock
farming.
I.T.-the development implementation ,and maintenance of computer hardware and software
systems to organize and communicate information electronically

Description of Research Design and Procedure used


Our first step in research report is we thought the topic were going to take a research, second
we gave a little hint in the introduction page, third we state the possible problems of our topic ,
fourth we gave our hypothesis ,fifth we conducted a research at La Salvacion National High
School to know the population of student in one section and their specialization .We made it into
graph and for the finale we made our conclusion .
Sources of Data
We conducted an interview to Grade 9 students about their IT specialization and their reasons for
taking the course last January 7, 2016 at La Salvacion National High School by asking students
about their choice when it comes to IT specialization ,we asked permission to the IT teacher
Mrs.Alice M. Chavez Agriculture teacher Mr. Edgardo del Rosario and the adviser Ms.
Sophemier Pempea ,to take an interview t their beloved students.

Sampling Procedures
There are other students we cant take interview because of several matters, like for example
they are too busy. Thats why we cant reach them.
If we can take an interview to other students, maybe our data will be more broad or maybe we
can get a very impressive research.

Methods & instruments of Data Gathering


In taking interview we approach all the students of Grade 9 .Asking their preferred course and
their reasons by asking them in a nice way. To make the interview soft and fast we make our
prepared questions and put their corresponding answers in our sheets. By doing that we record
their information we needed

Restatement of the Problem


The problems that we thinked we gaved a cleared answers are: how many students enrolled in
certain time/present year? Whats their reasons for taking it? And the number of students by
their gender?
Description of Procedures
Knowing whats in the lead in field of TLE subjects ,whether its IT , Agriculture or Bread &
Pastry the possible reasons for taking their course. The possible outcome of this research for
future .The preparation of Government for the graduating students for their job in the future.
Major Findings
The major findings in our research is that IT is in the lead when in comes in TLE specialization .
More of these are girls almost reaching 60% while boys are about 31%,28 %of these are lesbians
and the remaining 1% is Gay. More of IT students their reasons for taking their course is that its
their choice likewise in Agriculture and Bread & Pastry students taking the course.
Conclusion
In the research weve conducted , therefore we conclude that in the future there will be more
students preferred to graduate of IT course .That in the future more of graduates students will
going to find job regarding to computer courses . In the future there will be a less expert when it
comes to Agriculture and Baking.
Recommendation
In order to this study ,improved, theres also some recommendations to be investigated like for:
Will the Government can provide the graduating students of their respective course a job that
suits them? Will the future graduates will going to find job in our country or taking a risk to be
one of OFWs? Will there be a lot of opportunities to apply a job in future? These are some of
suggestion need to be investigate to make this research more improved.
