1 Viewer and Content Hierarchy

The Nokia Solutions and Networks Browser Solution has three elements
1. Content frame on the left with content tab.
2. Main frame on the right
3. Navigation area on top of Content and Main Frame

The Contents tab displays all the "HTML and PDF"

The document sets are listed alphabetically as default

The Content frame shows all Document sets as collapsed by default
1.

Expand the content view by clicking the plus sign [+] or double-clicking the topic category

name
o When there is no plus sign, the topic does not include sub-topics.
2. View the content in Main frame by clicking the topic name
3.

To collapse all opened topics, click on Collapse All icon in the Navigation area

Track your place in the content

1.

By default the Table of Contents in the Content frame always shows the Contents with HTML

To turn the frame linkage on or off, click on the Link with Contents icon.

Click on an topic in the breadcrumb trail on the top of the Main frame to quickly move back

within the same Document set

3.

Click on Contents icon in the content frame Navigation area to show the location of the Main

frame contents highlighted in the Content frame

Resizing the frames

1. To view possibly long titles in the Content frame click on Maximize icon in Navigation area on top
of Content frame
2. To read the contents in full browser view click on Maximize icon in Navigation area on top of Main
frame
3. To return to two-frame-view click on Restore icon in Navigation area
4. To adjust the frame width drag the frame divider with your mouse

To restore the frame size, drag the frame divider back to original.

Searching Document

3 Searching Document
To make a search for all available documentation
1. Write a keyword in the Search box
2. Press Enter or click on Go icon
To restrict your search to a topic or several topics
1. Click the Search topics icon in the Navigation area
2. Select the Search selectedtopicorSearch selected topic and all subtopics
3. Write a keyword in the dialog Search box
4. Press Enter or Click on OK icon

The search results are displayed in Search results view for HTML contents.
1. Click on a topic name in the Content frame to view the contents with the search hit in the Main
frame
2. To display the search result content grouped by categories click on Show Result Categories icon
in the Navigation area
3. To add or remove the result descriptions in the view of search results, click Show result
descriptions icon in the Navigation area
Return to browsing the content by selecting Contents tab at the bottom of Content frame
Return to the search results by selecting Search Results tab again

Printing Content

4 Printing Content
To select the HTML to print, click the Print topics icon in the navigation area above the Content
frame

To print only the selected topic, click Print selected topic.

To print the selected topic and all of its subtopics, click Print selected topic and all

subtopics.

NOTE! PDF documentation is not included in the print functionality. To print information in PDF
documentation, please use the PDF reader print functionality.

Adding a viewed page to favorites:
Bookmark a document by clicking Bookmark Document icon in the navigation area

Your bookmark is listed as a standard bookmark in the default browser's Favorite.

Downloading Document Sets for Nokia Solutions and Networks Information Browser
1. Log into Nokia Solutions and Networks Online Services with your NOLS credentials.
2. Navigate to Product Information Center and locate a document set, which you want to download
on your PC.
NOTE! Please make sure before downloading that the file is compatible with Nokia Solutions and
Networks Information Browser.
3. Download the document set *.zip file from NOLS / PIC and save it on your local PC.

Adding a Document Set

1. Click the Manage icon in the navigation area of the Nokia Solutions and Networks Information Browser to
open the Manage document sets view.

2. Click on Browse under Install new Information Browser compatible document set in the
Manage document sets view to locate the document set *.zip file saved on your PC.

3. Click on Install after selecting the correct document set *.zip file.
4. A progress bar indicates the installation progress of the selected file.

5. To refresh the Nokia Solutions and Networks Information Browser main view, click on Apply. After
this you can continue managing your document sets.

6.To close the Manage document sets view and to refresh the Nokia Solutions and Networks
Information Browser main view, click on Apply and Close.
Adding a PDF Document
1. Click the Manage icon in the navigation area of the Nokia Solutions and Networks Information
Browser to open the Manage document sets view

2. Click on Browse under Install new Information Browser PDF document in the Manage document
sets view to locate the PDF document saved on your PC.

3. Click on Install after selecting the correct PDF document.

4. The document appears in the Installed document sets.

Deleting a Document Set

1. Click the Manage icon in the navigation area of the Nokia Solutions and Networks Information
Browser to open the Manage document sets view.

2. Under Installed document sets tick the check box for the document set(s) you want to delete.

3. Click on Delete to complete the deletion.

4. A progress bar indicates the deletion progress of the selected file.

5. The Nokia Solutions and Networks Information Browser view is refreshed automatically after the
deletion.
Deleting a PDF document
1. Click the Manage icon in the navigation area of the Nokia Solutions and Networks Information
Browser to open the Manage document sets view.

2. Under Installed document sets tick the check box for the PDF document you want to delete.
3. Click

on Delete to complete the deletion.
