Abstract:
Smart stun wrist band is easily wearable devices interfacing pulse monitors senses
and skin conductance senses embedded with electronic devices and can access network
connectivity. The internet of things (IOT) deals with the physical objects which enables
information exchange. The design and implementation of the proposed model can monitor the
victims mind and activate the stun gun that is embedded in the wrist band. The wrist band
overpowers their assailants by stunning the victim with a shock. A Bluetooth module is used
to transmit the signal from the band to the mobile phone wirelessly. This paper has proposed a
method to develop a portable and affordable device to protect and aid women in distress with
minimum response time.
I. Introduction:
The world has become unsafe place for women, so why not make a better place using
technology. we get a head start to ride the biggest wave that is hitting the industry ever since
the advent of the access to Internet. The internet of things is basically is a network of physical
objects, devices which are embedded with electronics like sensors, software and network
connectivity which enables other objects to exchange data. In simpler terms, Internet of things
connects devices and vehicles using electronic sensors, and it allows objects to be sensed and
controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure. When. IOT. Is augmented with
sensors and actuators technology becomes an instance of more general class of cyber physical
systems which also encompass technology such as smart grids, smart homes, and intelligent
transportation. The THINGS in IOT refers to wide variety of devices such as sensor DNA,
which collect data with help of various technology like smart thermostat systems, or dryers
using WIFI.
II. Design and implementation:
The framework can enable officials to manage and monitor the incident remotely. We
at Happiest Minds firmly believe that, as we go forward we should leverage technology to
envisage a big change and make a difference in how people live, work and innovate. Lets go
invent tomorrow, instead of worrying about tomorrow as Once technology rolls over you,
and you are not part of the steamroller, you become part of the road. The proposed system
consists of two modules: fear sensing system & Android based mobile phone. The first
module consists of apulse monitor and a wearable skin conductance sensor [1], whose
properties change when a person is in fear or experiences anxiety. As we know pulse
rate increases with fear due to the secret ion of adrenaline, by sensing a change in the pulse

rate, one can figure out if the person is in danger. Another factor is the skin conductance.
Sincesweat isanelectrolyte [5]anda good conductor ofelectricity theconductance ofthe skin
will increase with sweating. A person tends to sweat when in an un favourable situation like
this; by detecting small changes in the conductance of the skin an appropriate decision can be
taken [3]. Once it is established that the person is in danger, the proposed fear sensing system
strobes Android basedmobilephonetosenda messagetopreselected number. Simultaneously
a few capacitors in fear sensing system start charging and all ready to discharge into the
attacker who makes a physical contact with the victim. However this electrical shock is good
enough to in capacitate the attacker for a good few seconds which are crucial for fight or flight
and not damage any part of the body.

Working:
Stun guns generate a high-voltage, low-amperage electrical charge. When the stungun is
pressed against an attacker, the charge passes into the attacker's body. Since it has a fairly
high voltage, the charge will pass through heavy clothing and skin. But at this low amperage,
the charge is not intense enough to damage the attacker's body unless it is applied for
extended periods of time [4]. Using the concept, we plan to incorporate a bank of capacitors
which start to charge as soon as they get the control signal from the microcontroller. Data and
respond to the data by sending the pre-stored text as well as the current information to the
numbers. Well be using Android platform. Application can be designed for other mobile
operating systems as well. Using the application we are also making the efficient use of the
smart phones. Since
most of the phones are equipped with a Bluetooth module, the
Application running on the phone receives information that the person is in danger via the
Bluetooth module interfaced to the microcontroller. Using the GPS in the phone, it traces the
location of the attack. It then sends a common SOS text message to all the pre listed numbers
along with the location.
