Dan Cheatham's Faith Food 4 Eagles | vol 5 no 37
Dr. Dan Cheatham
Sep 10, 2005
Proverbs 2:6-9 NLT - For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come
knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of good sense to the
godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. He
guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will know
how to find the right course of action every time.
On the other side of every decision I make, there is either buried
treasure or hidden danger. Therefore I must proceed prayerfully.
Jeremiah 6:16 NIV - Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient
paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest
for your souls.
God by His very nature is a GUIDE.
Psalm 32:8 NLT - The LORD says, I will guide you along the best pathway
for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
Dreams don't work unless you do. (Author Unknown)
Laziness moves so slowly that poverty overtakes it. (Author Unknown)
Satan favorite tactics to try to neutralize or devastate you are: 1)
UNforgiveness, 2) UNconfessed Sin, and 3) UNbelief. The enemy will try to
use these UN-weapons against you often. These are the TOP GUNS of the
enemy of your soul! UNforgiveness in your heart towards someone will place
you at a huge disadvantage, turning you over to torment. UNconfessed sin
will break your fellowship with the Father and leads to more sin. And
UNbelief will block the flow of God's blessings into and through your
life, because you stubbornly refuse to take God at His Word. 2 Corinthians
2:11 KJV - "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not
ignorant of his devices."
God has called pastors to FEED & LEAD, not to BEAT and CHEAT!
Is "Abba, Father," too intimate for you? Jesus didn't just come to
introduce Himself to you, but to introduce you to your Father. Do you
usually address God as "God?" Or do you intimately address Him as
"Father?" The Spirit came into your heart crying, "Abba, Father," not just
"God, God" or "Jesus, Jesus." Galatians 4:6 - "And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba,
Father."
It's easy to be a Critic; not so easy to be a Dreamer.
If you read the accounts of praise and worship in the Book of Revelation
carefully, you will discover that when people or angels are declaring that
God is Worthy, that it is always connected with more text about "Something
God Has Done." In contrast, when people are declaring that God is Holy, it
has no connection with What He Has Done, but rather only... "Who He Is."
Thus we come to the following conclusion: "His Holiness is the Essence of
Who He Is. His Worthiness is the Excellence of What He Has Done." One
magnifies His Person. The other magnifies His Performance. One trumpets
His perfect character and divine attributes. The other heralds His awesome
exploits and accomplishments. It is remarkable to me that every time the
cherubim and seraphim get another glimpse of God on His throne, the only
word in our language in which they can sum Him up is "Holy!" He is so
TOTALLY OTHER and so TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL that only one word seems
appropriate! God is HOLY in His nature. God is WORTHY in His wonderful
deeds of creation and redemption.
Have you ever received a noble dream or project from God, only to have all
hell break loose against you immediately after receiving it? Welcome to
the "The Dreamers Hall Of Fame." As it was with Joseph of the Old
Testament, so it is with you. The enemy's instantaneous reaction is
actually good news. It is a sure sign and a clear clue that you are
barking up the right tree.
Your present struggle is merely a Desert before Dessert!
Your present battle in life is merely a Showdown before Showtime!
Demoralize Satan by quoting God's Word aloud!
Delight your Master by praising Him and acting like you already got the
victory!
God ALWAYS has the FIRST and the FINAL WORD on your life. About all the
enemy can hope to try and do is contest the words about your situations in
life during the interim. So stick with the Word of the One who has the
first and final say-so. His Word will bring you out in the end!
Hang in there! You ARE winning! The final book of the Bible says so!
I will only answer to my "new name written." (Revelation 2:17 & 3:12) I
will not let every thought that comes into my mind and every whim of my
emotions rule me. I will not answer thoughts and feelings that tend to
label me as somebody I am not! I will only answer to my new name written!
God has REMADE me and RENAMED me! My name is A.ccepted, not rejected. My
name is, B.lessed, not cursed. My name is, C.elebrated, not forgotten. My
name is, D.elivered, not depressed. My name is, E.levated, not put down.
My name is, F.orgiven, not regretful. My name is, G.od's Masterpiece, not
a nobody. My name is, H.ealed, not sick. My name is, I.n Him, not by
myself. My name is, J.ustified, not just barely forgiven. My name is,
K.ept by the power of God, not unprotected. My name is, L.oved, not hated.
My name is, M.ore than a Conqueror, not whimp. My name is, N.ever
Condemned, not guilty. My name is, O.vercomer, not undergoer. My name is,
P.ower-Filled, not weakling. My name is, Q.uickened Together With Christ,
not deadbeat. My name is, R.edeemed, not beat up. My name is, S.ent by
God, not an accident going somewhere to happen. My name is, T.op, and not
the bottom. My name is, U.ndoing the devil's works, not under the weather.
My name is, V.ictor, not victim. My name is W.anted, not worthless. My
name is X.Sinner, not worm. My name is, Y.es, to all His promises and
commands, not I Can't. My name is, Z.ealous, for the house of God, not
lazy.
Your Heavenly Father never Downs you, but ever Crowns you. Psalm 103:2-4 "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits... who
crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies..."
