Profesor Dr. Ingeniero Robert Off + Anhalt University, Universidad de Ciencias

Aplicadas, Dessau, Alemania & IMS. Profesor creador y Director del primer programa de
Maestra en Arquitectura Textil, as como de su asociacin con el IMS (Institute for
Membrane and Shell Technologies), donde es el actual Director. Ha enseado teora de
arquitectura y de estructuras de membrana en la Universidad de Augsburgo, Alemania.
estableci una prctica de consultora de arquitectura y ha impartido clases en desarrollo de bienes races y
seminarios en universidades en Hannover, Alemania y Dhaka, Bangladesh. Diplomado en Arquitectura por la
Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas de Augsburgo, Alemania y la Universidad Tcnica de Berln. Obtuvo
tambin Doctorado en esta ltima. Entre otros, tiene amplia experiencia en empresas de arquitectura,
membreca en la Cmara Bvara de Arquitectos y una patente en mtodos de construccin de membranas de
compuestos.
Professor creator and Principal of the worlds first Master Program in Textile Architecture, as well as its
association with IMS (Institute for Membrane and Shell Technologies) where He is the current Director Has
taught architectural theory and membrane structures at the Augsburg University, Germany; established an
architecture consulting practice and has lectured on real estate development, as well as in seminars at
universities in Hannover, Germany and Dhaka, Bangladesh. Holds a Degree in Architecture from the
University of Augsburg, as well as a Degree in Architecture and PhD from the Technical University of Berlin.
Among others, accounts with an extensive experience in architectural firms, membership in the Bavarian
Chamber of Architects, and a patent in composite membrane-foam building method.

FEM Software IperSPace y cofundador asociado de Baku Group arquitectos. Licenciado en Maturita Artistica y
Diplomado en Arquitectura. Cuenta con amplia experiencia en seminarios y talleres internacionales en
coberturas textiles, diseos de estructuras de tensados, entre otros.

for the analysis of membrane structures. He has worked with the Construction Institute of the University of
Architecture in Naples, Italy. Also, has acted as consultant to the company Soft Lab s.r.l., in the field of FEM

Doctor en filosofa e ingeniera estructural por la Universidad de Texas, en Austin.
Actualmente profesor de Diseo y de Posgrado en Ingeniera Estructural. Director del
Laboratorio Estructural dedicado a las pruebas estructurales de los sistemas alternativos
de construccin, tubos de hormign, equipos de seguridad en la construccin e
investigacin en general.
Doctor of Philosophy and structural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently Professor
of Design and Graduate Structural Engineering. Chief of Structural Laboratory dedicated to testing of
alternative structural building systems, concrete pipes, safety construction equipment and research in
general.

Ing. Paolo Giugliano + SIOEN Industries NV. Responsable del rea de Arquitectura
Textil en la empresa SIOEN Industries NV. Ha estado involucrado en el negocio de la
construccin textil desde 1994. Ha trabajado para empresas lderes en el ramo de la
produccin de textiles tcnicos como tambin en la construccin de estructuras tensadas,
bien sea como gerente de instalacin, lder de proyectos o director de ventas. Adicional a
su gran conocimiento en arquitectura textil, es experto en el clculo de costos para la determinacin de
marcos de inversin de capital en planeacin de proyectos y gerencia.

Instituto Americano de Tecnologas de Membranas y Conchas Estructurales. Entre 1998 y
2000 trabaj como ngeniero Estructural de Membranas en la compaa BIRDAIR en
Williamsville, NY participando en el anlisis y diseo de una variedad de estructuras
tensionadas de membrana PTFE. A partir del ao 2012 hasta la fecha ha estado vinculado
al IMS-Anhalt University en Alemania. Participa en estudios de Maestra en Estructuras de Membranas
Tensionadas y Conchas Estructurales.
Dr. Pedro R. Munoz, Ph.D., P.E., M. ASCE, Archineer, is the Founder and Director of AIMS, American Institute
of Membranes and Shells Technologies. From 1998 to 2000 worked as Structural Membrane Engineer at
Birdair in Williamsville, NY, participating in the analysis, design, and detailing of a variety of structures
stressed PTFE membrane. From year 2012 to date Dr. Munoz has been related to the IMS-Anhalt University
in Germany. He participates in Masters Degrees in Tensile Membrane Structures and Structural Shells.

and Partners gmp. Working on the roof structures of Berlin Olympic Stadium and the Worldcup Arena in
Frankfurt she gained planners experience in the field of tensile architecture.

de la industria; fundamentos, diseo e ingeniera de estructuras de membranas;
aplicacin del programa ixCUBE; anlisis de estructuras y propiedades fsicas y
mecnicas de materiales; pruebas de laboratorio, entre otros. Diseo funcional y
armnico de las formas en la Arquitectura Textil y la aplicacin real
en la produccin de estructuras de membranas a travs de la descripcin de proyectos
internacionales que incluyen aquellos con especialidad en coberturas de estadios
deportivos. Demostracin de produccin e instalacin de membranas de pequea
escala.
Comprehensive review of various aspects of the Textile Architecture such as the
evolution of the industry; fundamentals, design and engineering of membrane
structures; introduction to ixCUBE; analysis of structures, physical and mechanical
properties of materials and Labtest, among others. In addition, the functional
and well-balanced design of forms in Textile Architecture and the actual
implementation in the production of membrane structures through the depiction of
international projects including those specializing in stadium tensile architecture. The
seminar includes a demonstration on production and installation of small membranes.

Ciudad de Panam (Febrero, 2015) -La Facultad de Ingeniera Civil de la Universidad Tecnolgica de
Panam (UTP), conjuntamente con el Instituto IMS de la Universidad Anhalt de Alemania, dictar durante
tres das conferencias tcnicas sobre el universo actual de la arquitectura textil. A realizarse en febrero de
2016, participarn ponentes provenientes de Europa, Estados Unidos, Panam, Guatemala y Mxico.
Autoridades esperan asistencia de profesionales, empresarios y estudiantes de las ramas de ingeniera y
arquitectura, tanto nacionales, como de otros pases de las Amricas.
El programa tcnico incluye tpicos de planeacin, diseo, clculo y fabricacin de estructuras de
membranas, as como de tecnologas de avanzada en la arquitectura moderna. Sern discutidos asuntos
relativos a la creciente popularidad y divulgacin de esta industria global, al igual que ser presentada la
