The Most Holy Place

February 21-February 27

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and
his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is
flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go
well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and
how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus name, Amen

I am in the presence of the Lord.

Hebrews 9:12
My sins are washed away by Jesus blood.
Hebrews 10:4
I will humble myself and seek Gods face.
II Chronicles 7:14

Hundreds of years after the first Passover the true Sacrifice Lamb,
Jesus, was crucified.

Hebrews 9:12, With His own blood He entered the Most Holy
Place once for all.

The holy day called Passover is a celebration of Gods love and

forgiveness for us all. The very first Passover was when God
delivered His people out of the slavery of Egypt. Hundreds of years
later on Passover Day at 3pm; Jesus, the true Sacrifice Lamb, was
crucified. The earth quaked, the sky turned dark, graves opened, and
many saints were raised from the dead and told that Jesus was the
Messiah, the Savior that God had promised He would send to
deliver the Jewish nation. Before this day, God had told Moses to
build a place for Him to meet with the people. This was risky for if
they came into His Presence with sin, His Presence would be too
holy and their sin too great so they would die. Moses made sure that
the meeting place was built exactly as God had told him.
The tent of meeting or Tabernacle as it was called had three main
areas: Outer court, Inner court, and Holy of Holies. The Inner Court
and the Holy of Holies together was called the Holy Place. All of the
priests could go into the Inner Court, but only the High Priest could
enter the Holy of Holies. Even he could enter it only one time a year,
the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur in the Hebrew language. On
this day the lamb or goat was sacrificed on the Brazen Altar for the
sins of the Jews. It was a serious day as people repented of sin by
fasting from food and water. The High Priest prepared by washing
putting on special clothes and burning incense so the smoke would
cover his eyes because no man could see God and live. Most
important of all, he brought the blood with him to offer for
forgiveness of the sins of the nation. God promised when He saw the
blood it would cover mans sins. All this was a temporary covering of
sins until Jesus, the better High Priest- because He had a better
sacrifice-offered His own life and blood. The veil separating the
people from God in the temple was torn when Jesus body was
torn on the cross and we received mercy when we deserved death.
Through faith in Jesus Christ we are no longer separated from Gods
Presence.
