dtd.30/10/2015 and Dtd.4.1.2012 (Annx.1) it is relevant to mention that, as per
DoP& 1's OM vide No. AB.14017/61/2008-Estt.{RR}
dated 24/03/2009 (Annx.2)
and No.AB.14017/48/2010-Estt.{RR}
dated 31/12/2010{Para 3.12.2), (Annx.3)
the post of Admini,trative Officers in Prasar Bharati should be filled-up from the
existing Assistants those who have rendered 5 years qualifying service as
Assistant instead of 7 years as maintained till date by the Prasar Bharati.

the Ministry is pressing hard to hold DPC for promotion of All

Group A Officer (Annx.4)

As such, it is requested that the process which has been initiated to relax
the qualifying service for the post of Dy. Director of Administration by the Prasar
Bharati vide letter cited above, may be expedited with the Ministry of I & B to
resolve the scarcity of qualifying candidates for filling-up the vacant posts with a
view to betterment

of employment

and servicf'

It is also relevant to mention that the Prasar Bharati has the powers to
allow in-situ or Ad-hoc promotion from the existing I.A. / Sr. A.O. and Assistant
to the post of DDA & A.O. respectively as a measure of immediate relief which
has been extended to other cadres.
We would request you to consider th facts stated above regarding the
problems faced by I A / Sr. A. O. & Assistants/ Head Clerk in AIR & Doordarshan.
