currentBMWall-wheeldrivevehiclesis40:60.IntheG12,thetorquedistributiontothetwodriveaxles
wassplitequallyinthedirectionof50:50.Intermsofdynamics,however,otherimportantparameters
suchasdifferentwheelslipvaluesplayapart.Itisnolongerpossibletospeakofa50:50torque
distributionwithdifferentwheelslipvaluesatthetwodriveaxles.Inthiscase,thedrivetorquesare
distributedvariablyintherangebetweentheoretically0:100and100:0correspondingtothedriving
situation.
Theentiretorqueistransmittedtotherearaxlewhenthemultidiscclutchisopen.Themultidiscclutch
mustbeclosedinordertotransfertorquetothefrontaxle.
TheclutchtorquetobetransmittediscalculatedintheDynamicStabilityControl(DSC)andis
forwardedtothetransferboxcontrolunitviaaFlexRaybus.Thetransferboxcontrolunitcalculatesthe
angletobesetatthetoothedadjustingringfromtherequestedclutchtorque.Theadjustingtorque
requiredforcontrolisgeneratedbyanelectricmotor.
Thecontactpressureofthemultidiscclutchisincreaseddependingontherequestedtorque
distributions.Asaresult,thestepped-upenginetorqueisseamlesslydistributedbetweenthetwo
driveaxlescorrespondingtothedrivingsituation.

Wheelslipoccursonthewheelsofthedifferentaxlesbothasaresultofaccelerationanddeceleration.
Thewheelslipisdeterminedusingthesensorsignalsfromallwheelspeedsensorsaswellasan
