1. Introduction
What is DOXing?
Wikipedia defines DOXing as "the Internet-based practice of researching and
broadcasting personally identifiable information about an individual."
In other words, DOXing is a way of gathering personal information on an
individual by using internet based sources. No matter how hard an individual
tries to hide their identity, there will always be a digital footprint.

Why would I want to DOX someone?

Internet has become part of all of our daily lives, and like in the real world it's
not all just sunshine and butterflies. Cyber bullies do exist, and what better
way to get back at your bully than to post all his personal information online
for the world to see.

What can I do with an individual's personal information?

A few things you can do:

Send Pizza to his/her house.

Send tons of empty boxes or packaging material to his/her house.
Prank call him/her.
SMS Bomb him/her.
DDoS/DOS his/her IP.
Make him/her freak out by sending them a link to their publicly hosted
DOX.

The possibilities are endless. You can literally ruin somebody's life with just his
personal info.

Is it illegal?
Gathering an individual's information using public internet based sources is
NOT illegal.
Using this individual's information to blackmail him/her and posting it

publically online IS illegal.

DOXing is a form of extortion and can earn you up to 3 years in prison!

Of course - a stable internet connection.
Patience - with patience comes success.

3. DOXing Methods
3.1 - Via IP Address
DOXing via IP won't get you much information, but it will help you in your goal
of getting your targets DOX. Simply by getting his/her IP, you can already

determine their country, region, city, and ISP by using an online service such
as ip-tracker.org
There are many ways of getting someone's IP address, I'm going to tell you
three most used methods.

Way #1 - Via Email

If the person you would like to DOX has sent you an email, it is quite easy to
get his IP.

Way #2 - Via Skype

Almost every HF member has a skype account, and skype accounts can be
resolved. Skype resolving is a way of getting an individual's IP Address using
online hosted resolvers. An example of some online resolvers would be
iresolved.net or resolveme.org or ddvniek.com/skype.php

Way #3 - Via Xbox Live

For this you will need a program called "Cain and Abel" which can be
downloaded at http://www.oxid.it/cain.html

Way #4 - Tricking your Target

You can easily get your target's IP by just sending them an innocent looking
URL using http://www.whatstheirip.com

3.2 Via Email Address

Assuming that you have your targets email address(es), there is quite a bit of
information you can find from this.
Using a website such as http://com.lullar.com or https://pipl.com you can
enter the email address you have and it will pull up any accounts or names
registered to that email (facebook, myspace, youtube, twitter, ect.)
If you get their facebook or something with their first and last name on it then
you should have all you need. (Note: you can use email to obtain the users IP's
like I've explained earlier.)

3.3 Via Telephone Number, Names, Address or Online

For this method I am going to give you a list of websites you can use to gain
info by using just the target's Username, Telephone Number, Name, Address
or Email:

http://knowem.com (Lookup for username on multiple platforms)

https://www.facebook.com
http://www.tineye.com (Reverse image searching)
http://whois.domaintools.com (Basic GEO IP but works well)
http://www.ip-address.org/tracer/ip-whois.php (Another GEO IP)
http://www.iplocationtools.com (Another GEO - Most accurate)
http://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com (Easily convert the latitude
and longitude to an address)
http://www.blackbookonline.info (Illegal activity lookup)
www.google.com (just write target's username in double quotes)

Just fill in the first name/last name/city/phone number/username and search.

More than likely you'll have multiple people pop-up with same name as your
target but different addresses, now this is where the hard work starts. In order

to eliminate the "fakes" you're going to have sort through the people. The
easiest way to do this is to check your target's IP location, then check the
location of the results you found on one of the above websites. Narrow down
the results, and the remaining results you DOX further to find your target.

3.4 Via a Database search

A database is an online file that keeps information of many people registered
on a website. This information includes passwords(most sites hashed), email
addresses, IP information, online alias, and various other info.
When/if a website gets hacked, the site's database gets dumped which is what
you will use.
