Site Guidelines:
Vendors are responsible for providing all tables, chairs, signs, containers, shopping bags, cash for making
change etc. Vendors should make their booth space visually appealing and offer bags for customer
convenience. All products should be clearly labeled with price signs.
The Camden Farmers Market is an open-air, all-weather market. Covering for weather must be provided
by each vendor. Tents must be weighted down at all times. Vendors assume full responsibility for any
damage resulting from their tent or other display items flying away.
Water and restrooms for vendors will be available inside the Warren building. These areas are to be
used for sanitary purposes only and may not be used for washing produce or any other uses.
All vendors must post clear, visible signs stating their business (farm) name and location.
Vendors authorized to accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) coupons and WIC Fruit and
Vegetable Vouchers must display their FMNP sign at all times.
Vendors must keep their stalls clean and free of trash during market hours. Displays, canopies, signage,
etc., may not infringe upon neighboring booths or walkways.
Health and Cleanliness Rules:
Vendors are responsible for removing all trash and debris from their stalls.
Vendors must comply with all State, County and City Health Regulations.
Enforcement and Disputes:
The market manager may take any action deemed appropriate if a vendor does not follow the rules. The
market manager reserves the right to request any vendor to remove any merchandise deemed
unacceptable.
If vendors have a dispute or complaint, they will bring it to the market manager and action will be taken
appropriately.
Vendors must treat other vendors, customers, and market staff with respect and cooperation. Vendors
must guarantee customer satisfaction for all goods sold.
Sampling Guidelines:
Vendors who plan to offer samples of any of their items must follow appropriate sampling guidelines as
dictated by all City, County and State regulations. Vendors must obtain prior permission from the
market manager before offering samples to customers.

Licensing Information
The Camden Farmers Market has expanded its license for the 2016 market season. We are now able to
accept vendors the sell as any of the following categories below. If you know of anyone else you might
be interested in participating in our market, please have them email us at
camdenfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Agricultural Producer: A grower, farm processor, or a group of growers or farmer processors belonging
to a growers' cooperative, or wild-harvester, that is principally engaged in the production of farm and
wild-harvested products. Complete Farmer/Grower Registration Form and return to market managers
or camdenfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Craft Producer: A market vendor who manufactures or crafts non-food goods by the force of their own
labor, who has control over the means and methods of production, and who assumes the principal
financial and liability risk for the production enterprise. Call the State of Minnesota, 651-296-6181, for
sales tax requirements. No license required.
Farm Processor: A market vendor who sells products that are grown, raised or harvested on land owned
or leased by the farm processor and which products may have additional ingredients added that are not
grown, raised or harvested by them on their land such as to produce sausage, bacon, cheese etc., and
who is licensed according to Minnesota law or city ordinance. Complete Farmer/Grower Registration
Form and return to market managers or camdenfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Food Market Distributor: A market vendor who sells fresh produce purchased from retail stores,
wholesalers or agricultural producers, or sells prepackaged foods for off-site consumption (excluding
home processors) provided that the vendor does not handle unpackaged food while at the market.
Complete the Market Distributor Form and return to City of Minneapolis.
Grower: A market vendor who sells products that are grown, raised or harvested on land owned or
leased by grower including vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats (without added ingredients), plants, flowers,
honey, maple syrup, etc. Complete Farmer/Grower Registration Form and return to market managers
or camdenfarmersmarket@gmail.com.
Home Processed Foods: Products made through the transformation of raw ingredients into a finished
food product prepared in the home including, but not limited to, jams, jellies, pickles, baked goods and
confections. Complete the Exempted Market Vendor form and return to City of Minneapolis.
Food Market Manufacturer: A market vendor who sells and handles foods and beverages prepared for
immediate consumption (see definition below) at the market. Complete the Market Manufacturer
Form and return to City of Minneapolis.
Immediately Consumable: Products made through the transformation of raw ingredients into a finished
food product intended for consumption at the farmers market including, but not limited to, any foods
sold which are heated or prepared on-site, beverages, ice cream, or services that are provided during
the designated days and times of the market.
Vendor of Services: A market vendor who provides a service intended for immediate consumption
including, but not limited to, chair massage or face painting.
Plant Vendor: A market vendor who resells live plants or non-food plant products purchased from retail
stores, wholesalers or agricultural producers, or sells such plants or plant products grown and harvested
on land that is not owned or leased by the vendor. No license required.
Note: The following types of foods CANNOT be sold under any of the exemptions above apple or fruit
juice; pumpkin pies; custard pies; cream puffs; low acid canned foods such as green beans, corn, peas,
mushrooms, soups, meat, fish, or eggs; any other ready-to-eat, potentially hazardous food products
containing meat, eggs, dairy, or any product that requires refrigeration.
