OUR WORK
Selling hundreds of Nasi Lemak in a day is not easy. The profit margin is small, but it is one of
the easiest dish for urban poor families to cook without using expensive utensils and
ingredients. There are huge challenges and costs to build a distribution channel for (soon to be)
4,000 packs of Nasi Lemak daily, and creating trust among urban poor communities - that
social business can better their lives.

OUR WORK
OUR WORK
Consistent volunteerism is still alien in Malaysian volunteering scene. Thus, The Nasi Lemak
Project faces constant volunteer shortage and has to re-recruit every three months.
Nevertheless, some volunteers persisted even after 6 months, and they made the core veins of
TNLP's social impact projects.
