Game Commentary
Submitted by Doug Klein: After a brief thunderstorm delayed the start of the Pine Creek-Palmer Colorado Springs Metro League match,
lightning struck quick for the visiting Eagles as they scored twice in the first 22 minutes on their way to a 3-0 win. Pine Creek remains undefeated
in league play with a 5-0-0 mark, while Palmer drops to 3-3-0 in the league as they fight for a State Playoff berth.

The Eagles quick start was somewhat muffled by the sure hands of Terror netminder, Andi Tostanoski (3GA, 11SV, 80 Min). Despite being
hobbled by a quad injury, Tostanoski stopped 2 breakaways and intercepted numerous crosses through the 6-yard area. Eagle goalkeeper, Carmen
McDermott (0GA, 3SV, 80 Min) recorded her 5th shutout.

Pine Creek senior, Carolyn Simon, added her 16th & 17th goals of the 2010 campaign opening the scoring in the 7th minute when junior attacker
Brandi Farley controlled the ball along the goal line and dropped a pass to the oncoming Simon who pushed it into the unprotected side of the net.
Sinon rounded out the evening's scoring in the 43rd minute when she split two defenders chasing down a Chandon Gihring long pass striking the
ball past Tostanoski for the only time of the 2nd frame. In between, sophomore, Annie Wooldridge completed a give and go with Shannon Kelly.

The Eagles, who were missing 5 of their 18-player roster to injury, are looking forward to a week off to heal before they resume pursuit of the
conference crown. Pine Creek completes the regular season and league schedule against all school district rivals: Rampart on April 28th, league
co-leader Air Academy on May 3 and Liberty on May 5. All matches are at District 20 Stadium.
